Chapter 17

Brian's POV

It's been two months since I have kept watching her and her family closely. I ordered to do a background check on her. She is an excellent student and working as an intern all together. She is juggling between her college and her job but she aced in both the fields. She is a kind person, she loves to help others, she gives money to beggars, she visits orphanages and old age homes oftenly. I noticed she makes food and drinks everyday and gives them to the watchman of the hospital daily but I don't understand why she does that. Helping the needy is a different thing but a watchman he earns money, he can afford food then why him. She is a very reserved person she has only two friends and share a good relationship with Maria the nurse who blocked my way at the hospital other than that she has no social life. I have never heard about her going to pubs, casinos anywhere. She is either at home or college or either at hospital.

I liked every information I learned about her but one thing I did not like is that she is engaged. She got engaged to her boyfriend four months ago. He is also a doctor. Sometimes she visits his home or he calls her out for dinner or something.

Whenever she is at home alone I always find her searching for something I don't know what she is searching for. I planned to abduct her on her last day of exam which is tomorrow because i don't want her hard work to go on a waste. I know her father is planning to send her to moscow in the upcoming week to his investor but guess what, I am two steps ahead of him before he can realise what has happened she will be at my home under my mercy. I will make sure he will lose everything he claims to love his money, his business, his precious daughter, and his boss romano who is giving him the courage to mess with me.

I am planning to keep her as my captive. She will not get freedom not until his father pays for his deeds or comes to my mercy at my doorstep to apologise. Initially, I planned to lock her in a castle but considering her nature I changed my mind. Once she realised she was abducted. She will raise hell, she is a rebel and I know she will put up a fight with me once she comes to know I am behind it. She is not someone who will fear me once she opens her mouth there is no pause button for it and I can't take risks, especially with grandma living in the castle.

That's why I decided to keep her at my penthouse. No one knows about this plan and i am not going to include any one in this if needed, i might take aspen in confidence.

After the missing shipments happened two months ago we run background checks on everyone working for us we found five men who are betraying us and now they are six feets under the ground. My father taught me not to trust anyone not even your shadow and to become a successful mafia leader you have to be ruthless we can not show mercy to people because once you forgive them they will make habit out of it to betray you and apologise again and again so punish them where it hurts the most that too ruthlessly.

I am looking at the CCTV footage of her room. She is sitting on the bed with books spread around all over the bed. She has a pencil clamped between her lips. She is wearing shorts and a t-shirt. She was so engrossed in it she didn't realise her phone was ringing continuously. After some time she again received a call from someone calling her this late at night. It's already near two o'clock. She turned to grab her coffee when her eyes landed on the phone. She looked at the caller id and frowned. Hello , yes , no , no , around 4 o'clock, yes, see you soon she smiled and hunged up. Who is she talking to in such a secretive manner and who is she going to meet tomorrow? Forget it, wherever she goes matter because from tomorrow night she is going to see me only. I closed the laptop, put it on charge and made myself lay in bed.

I woke up early in the morning which is very rare for me. I usually wake up around 9 or 10 o'clock. I sleep around 3 or 4 o'clock if I sleep early, I have nightmares to avoid it I changed my sleep cycle.

I freshened up and made myself a cup of turmeric water because it's too early to have coffee. I checked the update my men forwarded me every morning to give the update of the Ryne family. His father and mother took a day off today they are going to meet someone located in other city and will not be back till late in the morning, it will be easy for my men to complete the mission or they have to deal with two of them first. Shane has already gone on a business trip to another country he won't be coming before Monday next week. She is going to be all alone in the evening.

She must be getting ready. I went towards my room and clicked on the app on my ipad to check the CCTV footage. There she is getting ready in front of the mirror. In one hand she is holding a book while from other hand she is applying some kind of makeup in her eyelashes she checked herself in the mirror closed the lid of the product she is holding from her mouth eee who does that that's so unhygienic and instead of keeping that in place she threw it on the dressing table. She turned around while reading something in the book and she stumbled before she could fall. She braced herself and kept her right hand on her heart and breathed deeply. She is very clumsy and disorganised, exactly opposite of me. I like to keep things in place so if I need something I can find it in the dark. She checked her exam kit threw in the bag with her phone. She closed the book and left the room.

I clicked on the other screen she is having her breakfast her parents informed her about their short trip and she told them she had plans for evening she is going to celebrate with her friends. Her father stood up and went outside while her mother went towards the kitchen. She stood up without making noise and walked quietly to her parents room. She is up to something but I don't have figured it out now tonight she will be at my home. I closed the pad walked into the walk-in closet changed into the gym clothes went downstairs via lift to burn the calories.

I was holding a meeting in my office when I received a text that she was back at home and instead of using the front door she sneaked into her parents room through the window after meeting with her friends but didn't she say she will be back late at night .

I tried to focus in the chart but my mind is consumed by her thoughts. " Meeting is adjourned " they all looked at me with wide eyes because this is not me If it's upto me I will make them work 24*7.

" We shall continue this tomorrow. " They left the room i quickly opened the footage. She is searching every corner of the house. When she did not find what she is looking for her face fell. She froze on one position and after she looked around the room and hide under the bed just when she slide in the door of the room opened and her mom walked in. They went to bed while chatting when they began to talk about her and plan to send her to Moscow. I became tense. I don't want them to reveal her real father's identity to her because I want to be the one to break that news to her but to my relief they didn't reveal anything. After they fell asleep she sneaked out. I zoomed in. I think she was having a panic attack. She was hyperventilating and she walked out of the house onto an empty road. I quickly instructed my men to follow her and at the right moment abduct her but make sure not to caught on cctv camera. I want Shane to find here and there searching for his daughter. I know he will try to find her in every nook and corner, I don't want to leave any clue to give him the idea that she is with me. I want to see that look on his face of fear and agony when he comes to know that his precious daughter is with me.

I called Elijah " Tell me about every movement. I want to know every tidbit. Keep me on the call. "

" Si boss we are following her, we are hiding behind the trees. She is walking towards the alley which does not have cctv I already instructed the driver to bring car from the other route boss. "

" Good go ahead, just make sure she didn't get even a small scratch on her body. "

" Si boss. "

Third Person's Pov

A handkerchief is impregnated with chloroform. She looked around the road but did not find anyone she began walking. A man ran towards her quietly until she could understand the handkerchief pressed under her nose. She tried to fight before she could make a move and she lost consciousness.

" Boss, it's done. " Si.

A car came from the other side driver opened the door a man picked her up laid her down on the backseat of the car and covered her body with the black cloth. Elijah sat on the front seat the car drove towards the given location.

The car reached the location. Elijah went down from the car towards the other car and knocked on the window. " Boss she is here. "

" Transfer her to my car. I will deliver the boss's parcel personally. " She was transferred to another car. Car reached his penthouse.

Brian's Pov

Elijah messaged me she has been transferred to aspen's car. I assigned aspen for this because i don't want anyone to know about my place except Kevin, Aspen and Travis they have been there several times for work. I already send the key to aspen. I got the confirmation message from Aspen she was finally settled in my place and nobody noticed or saw her in that state. Nobody noticed her absence till now her parents are sleeping soundly. I got tied up in the office, I have to sort out the business. It will at least take 2 hrs. for me to reach home. I asked Aspen to lock her in the room. What if she wakes up and tries to escape but I don't think she will get conscious until morning.

I finished my work and drove home at full speed. I covered 1 hr distance in 39 mins. I reached home and unlocked the door. It was pin drop silence that means she is still unconscious. I kept the keys of my home, room, and car in the secret locker and locked the drawer. I walked towards my room and opened the door to her sleeping peacefully on the bed. Her face was damp and tear stained with the trails of black things she used in the morning.
