First Meeting

Chapter 3

Rochelle's POV

The hospital has been extremely busy lately and I have to do a night shift as well as morning shift because one of my colleagues is getting married so he is on leave and I have to complete his shift and I have to finish my assignment as well which leads to a lot of workload.

I reached the hospital and gave a home made food packet to the guard uncle which had a healthy green sandwich with one beagle and turmeric latte cooked all by myself. This became like a routine for me and eventually for him as well. He works 12 hrs like us but still people treat them disrespectfully. They have low wages and stay far away from their family and cannot afford healthy food so at least they can eat healthy proper food and this is my bit I can do to show my gratitude to him. I hope the new boss who bought this hospital last week gives some increment and raises his wages. He really needs it.

He smiled and thanked me as I made my way towards the building I signed in. He greeted the staff and checked the list of patients I have to treat. I scanned my fingerprint in a biometric machine. As I was heading to the cabin the nurse informed me about the accident that happened in the afternoon. It's the case of a collision between three cars in which three people are gravely injured, four have minor injuries and two died on-spot and one of them is a child. May their soul Rest In Peace.

" Did their family get the news that they are here?" " Yes, Mam but they aren't here yet it will take time for them to reach here. The injured patients are transferred to Dr. Ethan so you have to check them on behalf of him. "

Now, I have to take a round to check their recovery rate.

I went to the cabin, put my bag in the locker, picked the stethoscope, wore it around my neck, and rang the bell to call a nurse to assist me. Nurse Maria came in and greeted me.

" Assist me to pay a visit to today's accident survivor Maria. " I went to their ward and saw their record of their previous vitality.

His pickup lines are so funny that you will have a stomach ache from laughing too much. He once asked me " Are you drowning ? " I got confused and replied " No " and his answer was " Because I am feeling the urge to give you C P R. '' I mean What the hell who says such lines in today's generation.

Before I could escape he turned towards me, his eyes sparkled and grinned widely. " Hi Ross, want some coffee."

" Yes, I just came here to grab one quickly. I have my shift in a few minutes. "

" Ohh, You can take mine. My dopamine level is already high just by looking at you. You are raising my temperature by looking so hot today baby " and here he goes again. I cleared my throat " uhh . . . ' thank you ' Dr. Tarin for the compliment you can have. I will just take mine, it will not take much of my time. "

" So when are you breaking up with your so-called fiance? "What kind of a question is that?

One Hour Later

I already checked 8 patients and have 10 more to go. Next patient was Pali . I looked at her file. Hmm, she is four months pregnant and wanted to go for the procedure of foetus removal. Sit Ms. Pali I looked up to see a man with a poker no expression face standing on the other side of the table. " Sir, I think I came in the wrong room or the wrong no. It's Ms Pali's turn. "

I glanced the gun ( A roadside goon trying to scare me in your dreams I am stronger than you think, i have seen the bigger ones my uncle's guard this is just the small one so i definitely won't get scared ) and replied " yes, a patient now please wait outside come back on your turn and i have seen better than this " i pointed towards his gun.

" Do you want to die? I don't like to repeat myself. " He was fuming in anger, how dare she answer back to him , even dared to ask him to go wait outside.

" Yes, I will die when god wants and it has nothing to do with you. So please wait outside. " Is he deaf can't he listen and wait for his turn?

( He was astonished that this is the first time someone did not fear him and ordered him like that ).

He aimed the gun at her masked face " treat it quickly I don't have time to listen to your nonsense. "

" Who is forcing you to listen to my nonsense, go wait outside, you don't have to listen to it. " I smirked. " You are not going to leave so let me treat you. I don't have time to waste. "

" Okay, so you came in as Ms Pali. I will prescribe her medicine to you so how months pregnant are you Ms Pali. " I smirked. I think this is the first time someone disobeyed him or showed his place to him. I literally saw his eyes turning black from anger.You shouldn't have threatened me Mr. That was a wrong move. I am not someone who will shiver in fear and follow your instructions. I am someone who follows the tit for tat method very seriously. I know how to give it back. Who the hell does he think of himself? He will threaten me and I will shiver in fear and obey him in his dreams.
