Sabrina Silvermoon sat up in bed, the morning sun shining through her window. She stretched her arms above her head, still feeling groggy from her restless sleep. Yesterday had been a blur of new sights and unfamiliar faces, and she couldn't quite believe that she was here, in a magical school, of all places.
As she got out of bed and made her way to the bathroom, she heard the sound of chatter outside her door. She opened it to find Delilah and Scarlet, already dressed and ready to start the day.
"Morning, Sabrina!" Delilah greeted her, smiling. "Did you sleep well?"
"Not really," Sabrina admitted, still feeling a bit out of sorts. "It was a lot to take in yesterday."
"Understandable," Scarlet said sympathetically. "But today is a new day. Are you ready to start learning about magic?"
Sabrina nodded, feeling a surge of excitement despite her tiredness. "Yes, definitely. I just...I'm not sure what to expect."
"Don't worry," Delilah assured her. "We were both new once too. The first few days can be a bit overwhelming, but trust me, you'll get the hang of it. And the magic...the magic is incredible."
As they made their way to the Great Hall for breakfast, Sabrina found herself growing more and more curious about the mysterious world she had been thrust into. The other students were a mix of all ages and backgrounds, but they all shared one thing in common: they were magic users.
Sabrina, Delilah, and Scarlet took their seats in the dining hall, the chatter of fellow students filling the air. Suddenly, a hush fell over the room as a tall, dark-haired young man sauntered in, his eyes flashing mischievously.
Sabrina couldn't help but notice how all the girls in the room seemed to stop what they were doing and stare at him. He was incredibly handsome, with a strong jaw and a dimpled smile that sent shivers down her spine.
"Wow," Sabrina said, turning to her roommates. "Who's that?"
Delilah rolled her eyes with a smirk. "That's Dylan Moonstone," she said. "The school's resident bad boy. He's a bit of a...playboy, if you know what I mean."
Scarlet nodded in agreement. "Oh yes, Dylan Moonstone. He's the kind of guy who only wants what's underneath a girl's skirt. He's flirtatious, arrogant, and not one to be trifled with."
Sabrina couldn't help but feel her cheeks flush as she watched Dylan move through the room, drawing attention from every direction.
As Dylan approached their table, he locked eyes with Sabrina, his dimpled smile growing wider. "Well, well, well. What have we here? Three beauties enjoying breakfast together." He turned his gaze to Sabrina, his eyes lingering on her for just a moment too long. "And you must be new."
Sabrina's heart skipped a beat, but she managed to keep her composure. "I am, yes. I'm Sabrina."
Dylan c****d an eyebrow, his smile growing even more charming. "Sabrina," he said, letting the name roll off his tongue.
"I'll be sure to get back to you, Sabrina," Dylan said, his eyes never leaving hers. "But for now, I must attend to some other business." With a wink, he turned and strode across the room, taking a seat at a nearby table with a group of friends, one of whom was Tristan Emberheart.
"Whoa," Delilah said, fanning herself with her hand. "I think you made an impression on the infamous Dylan Moonstone."
"He's...something," Sabrina replied, still feeling a bit stunned.
After breakfast, the three girls made their way to their first class of the day, Sabrina still reeling from her encounter with Dylan Moonstone. As they entered the potions classroom, they were greeted by a chorus of voices.
"Hey, welcome, Sabrina!" one of the students called out, a friendly-looking boy with a shock of blond hair. "I'm Jack. You'll get used to this place in no time."
As the rest of the class introduced themselves, Sabrina felt a little more at ease, surrounded by new faces. She took a seat at an empty desk, eager to learn.
Moments later, a tall, thin man with a severe expression and a flowing gray beard entered the classroom. "Good morning, class," he said in a deep, gravelly voice. "I am Professor Gerald, and I will be your guide in the art of potion-making."
The room fell silent as the professor took his place at the front of the room. He pointed to a row of bubbling cauldrons set up at the front of the room. "Potion-making is a delicate art, requiring precision, patience, and attention to detail.
"Today, we will be brewing a simple memory potion," Professor Gerald continued. "This potion can be used to recall lost memories or even to erase painful ones. But first, you must gather the proper ingredients."
He gestured to a row of shelves on the far side of the room, each one lined with jars of strange-looking substances. "You will need three ingredients for this potion: dragon's tears, moonstone powder, and a pinch of goldenrod. Go forth and gather these ingredients."
The class jumped into action, each student eagerly reaching for the ingredients on the shelves.
Sabrina found herself a bit overwhelmed by the flurry of activity, but she did her best to follow along. She found the jar of dragon's tears easily enough, and located the jar of moonstone powder on the top shelf. But when it came to finding the goldenrod, she was stumped.
"I can't find it," she whispered to Delilah, who was working nearby.
Delilah turned and smiled, pointing to a small jar at the back of the shelf. "It's there, just behind that jar of pixie dust."
With Delilah's help, Sabrina managed to assemble all the ingredients, and she returned to her desk, her heart racing with excitement.
"Very good, class," Professor Gerald said, as the other students began to trickle back to their desks. "Now, let us begin the brewing process."
Sabrina watched as Professor Gerald demonstrated the proper way to mix the ingredients, slowly stirring the cauldron and reciting an ancient-sounding chant. The mixture bubbled and hissed, sending tendrils of smoke curling into the air.
As the girls made their way back to their dorms, they were suddenly confronted by the imposing figure of Beatrix Wilder, flanked by her two followers, Drusilla and Lilith.
"Well, well, if it isn't the new girl," Beatrix sneered, her eyes narrowing. "Thinks she can just waltz in here and take whatever she wants, doesn't she?"
"Leave her alone, Beatrix," Delilah said, stepping forward.
"Oh, I will," Beatrix replied, her lips curling into a cruel smile.
Before anyone could react, Beatrix snapped her fingers, and Sabrina felt a sudden, dizzying force pulling her feet out from under her. She stumbled and fell, landing hard on the stone floor.
"Stay away from Dylan," Beatrix hissed, bending down and leaning in close to Sabrina's ear. "He's mine. And if you don't remember that, I'll make sure you regret it."
As quickly as they'd appeared, Beatrix and her followers were gone, leaving Sabrina shaken and bruised on the floor.
With Delilah and Scarlet's help, Sabrina was able to rise to her feet again. But as they made their way back to their dorm, she knew that this encounter was just the beginning. The magic of the Magisterium was powerful, but so was the rivalry between its students. And Sabrina had a feeling that Beatrix Wilder was not someone to be taken lightly.
As the day came to a close, Sabrina retired to her bed, her mind swirling with questions and uncertainties.
