Where u come from

Layton’s POV (cont.): The sisters exchange nervous glances, the weight of what I’ve just told them settling in. I can see the questions swirling in their minds, but now isn’t the time for them to feel lost—now is the time for them to understand their place in something much larger. “Let me tell you about the Charmed Ones who came before you,” I begin, my tone softening as I prepare to recount a story as old as magic itself. “You aren’t the first sister trio destined to protect the balance between good and evil. There have been many before you, each called during their time of greatest need.” The sisters listen intently, their expressions a mixture of curiosity and fear. “The Charmed Ones have existed for millennia,” I continue. “Generations of sisters, all linked by blood and magic, chosen to rise against forces that threaten the magical and mortal realms. Some were warriors, others scholars, but all of them—like you—had powers that were tied to their bond as sisters.” I pause for a moment, recalling the names and faces of those who came before. “There was the Morrigan Trio, nearly two thousand years ago. Three sisters from Ireland who defended the land from dark sorcery and ancient demons. Their powers were rooted in elemental magic—one sister could control fire, another water, and the third had the power to manipulate the wind. They were known for their strength and unity, but like all Charmed Ones, their battle was bittersweet. They succeeded in saving their people, but they lost much in the process.” I notice Amara shift uncomfortably. “What do you mean, they lost much?” I meet her gaze, knowing this isn’t an easy truth to bear. “Being the Charmed Ones isn’t without sacrifice. Many of the trios before you have faced losses—family, love, even their lives. The magic that ties you together is powerful, but it also makes you targets.” Selene swallows hard. “But they won, right? They beat the evil they were fighting?” “Yes,” I say firmly. “The Morrigan sisters sealed away one of the most dangerous ancient gods that ever walked the Earth, and they ensured that the magical world remained balanced for centuries. But their story isn’t the only one.” I take a breath, shifting to another part of the legend. “During the Renaissance, there were the sisters of Mont St. Michel. They were healers by nature, but their powers went beyond just healing wounds. One sister had the gift of prophecy, another could bend light and shadow, and the third had the ability to alter time—though her power was the most dangerous of all. Their battle was against an alchemist who sought to turn human souls into gold. They stopped him, but the youngest sister was lost in the process, trapped in a time loop, forever repeating the same moment.” Amara frowns. “So… every Charmed trio faces something like that?” I nod solemnly. “Each Charmed generation is called upon during a time of crisis. And yes, it’s dangerous. But it’s also a legacy of hope and protection. You are the latest in a long line of powerful women who have fought to preserve the balance.” Thalia stands taller, trying to process it all. “What about the most recent Charmed Ones before us? What happened to them?” I hesitate for a moment, remembering their fate. “They were three sisters from New Orleans. The Delacroix sisters. They were called upon during the early 1900s to stop a powerful necromancer who had discovered a way to raise an army of the dead. Their powers were tied to nature—earth, animals, and plants—and they were some of the most powerful Charmed Ones of their time. They succeeded in stopping the necromancer, but in the process, their powers were stripped away, their magic bound so they could never be used again. The magical world has been quiet ever since… until now.” “Why us?” Thalia asks, her voice steady but filled with the weight of responsibility. “Because it’s your time,” I say gently. “The balance has been shifting, dark forces rising again. Zariel is only the beginning. Your bond as sisters, your bloodline—these are the keys to your power. When all your abilities awaken, you will have the strength to fight back. You’ve been sheltered from this world for so long, but now… it’s your turn.” Selene looks at her sisters, and I can see the uncertainty in her eyes. “So we’re supposed to just… what? Fight demons now?” I smile slightly, understanding the disbelief. “It won’t happen all at once. You’ll need to train, to grow into your powers. But make no mistake—you are the Charmed Ones, and with that title comes great responsibility. You have the potential to change the world, to protect it. But it’s not just about fighting demons; it’s about understanding the magic that connects everything, the light and dark, the balance that holds the world together.” Amara looks down, her expression distant. “And our parents? They knew all of this, didn’t they?” I nod. “They did. And they protected you from it for as long as they could. But now, Zariel is after you, after the magic in your bloodline. Your parents were taken because they were your protectors… but now, it’s time for you to protect yourselves.
