Chapter 1: The Fallen Kingdom The wind howled through the ruins of Mydris, carrying the scent of ash and blood. Once a proud kingdom, now reduced to smoldering rubble beneath the iron fist of the Shadow Dominion. The night sky, once filled with stars, was veiled in smoke. Eryndor Valis stood among the wreckage, gripping the hilt of his sword. His armor was dented, his cloak torn, but his resolve remained unshaken. He had survived the siege, but survival meant nothing without purpose. He knelt beside the shattered remains of his father’s throne, fingers brushing against the crest of Mydris—a silver phoenix etched into the stone. "A kingdom reduced to ruins, yet its spirit still lingers," a voice spoke behind him. Eryndor turned, his blade half-drawn. A hooded figure emerged from the shadows, robes tattered, yet eyes burning with an unnatural light. Lady Sylara, a rogue sorceress, once revered, now hunted. "You seek vengeance," she continued, her voice as sharp as steel. "But vengeance alone won’t restore Mydris. Only power will." Eryndor narrowed his gaze. “What power?” Sylara smirked, stepping forward. "The Eternal Crown. A relic lost to time, hidden beyond the borders of men. A weapon of kings, forged by the gods themselves." The name sent a chill down Eryndor’s spine. The Eternal Crown—a legend, a myth. And yet, deep within his heart, something stirred. "There is a prophecy," Sylara whispered. "A lost heir. A war yet to be won. And you, Eryndor Valis… you may be the key." Thunder rumbled across the sky, as if the gods themselves had heard her words. Eryndor clenched his fists. The weight of his fallen kingdom bore down on him, but beneath it, a spark of hope flickered. If there was even the slightest chance to reclaim what was lost—to restore Mydris—he had no choice but to chase the legend. He met Sylara’s gaze. "Where do we begin?" A smirk played on her lips. "We find the others. And we prepare for war." As the ruins of Mydris stood silent in the darkness, a new journey began—one that would shape the fate of Eldoria itself. To be continued…
