The familiar figure emerged from the corner in high waist wax fabric skirt, a white crop top and flats. She had her hair let out cascading down her back like a drape. The corners of her lips curled up into a smile when she saw me. In returned, I waved trying hard not to squeal. The airport was a stream of people flowing like water to their different destination. On both my left and right were people waiting for their loved ones or visitors to arrive. She rolled her trolley that had three big suitcases. For a moment, I thought she had come to stay forever but it was just for three months, a vacation from Africa. I turned over the barricade to hug her.
