"Wow" was all Rhage was able to say after my mother was done talking about her brother, Elijah. "So, Elijah not only made this box which is able to hide anything within it from any magic and or supernatural being, but he put together the book that's inside as well?" Trying to wrap my mind around everything my mother told me seemed slightly difficult but not impossible. I have just never heard her talk about her brother before so this was kind of hard to digest what she was telling us. "Yes, and the book he made has everything he discovered about and within the Unseen when he astral projected into it." My mother saw I was struggling with processing all of this and decided to go over the book again with us. I nodded my head slowly as she decided to continue "Elijah had the gift to Astral project into the Unseen while he slept, just like you are able to, and decided to document everything he saw within it. Some of the objects he came across within the Unseen seemed to have an effect here on our plane, Elijah came across a humongous oak tree which had many branches the size of our car. He found the tree so beautiful and alluring that he knew he had to find it here on our plane." I raised my hand to stop my mom from continuing "How did he know it was on our plane and not something only within the Unseen?" There are forces in this world that humans and us supernaturals have some knowledge on but the Unseen is a force and place that has next to no information on it. One-either someone tried to document it and the documents just magically go missing without a trace or two-the individual who tried to document the Unseen disappear without a trace not even a witch can find using their magic. After hearing this I now am wondering whether or not the Gemini curse took Elijah from my mother or the Unseen did, but that is a question I will never ask her. I can't even fathom the thought of losing my own twin. My mom turn to me and gave me a weak smile and said something that caught me off guard, "they told him I was". Rhage seemed to struggle with that statement "Huh? Who told him what?" I giggled and shook my head and turned and looked at me and asked "what am I missing??". "The Unseen told Elijah" I said out loud and my mother nodded her head. "But how?" I asked, not sure I really wanted the answer but asked anyway. "Well when he astral projected into the Unseen there were always voices that seem to talk and surround him everytime he went in, they seemed to be what guided him to the tree in the first place. So when he saw the tree in the Unseen he asked the voices where it was and they told him." Rhage and I both looked at one another and looked back at my mom and gave her the look that screamed AND? "Oh! Haha how silly of me, they said the tree was in the heart of the dark forest. The entrance to Blackwater's dark forest just so happens to be right next to Harry's Bed & Breakfast." Silence fell between the three of us, looks like Rhage and I have a date at Harry's Bed & Breakfast today. Rhage was the first to break the silence "So what happened after that?" My mom shifted her gaze between the two of us and started again "well he went into the Blackwater's dark forest and found the tree. When he got there he felt so much energy and magic radiating from it. He wanted to understand why and tried to snap a small branch off but was unsuccessful. Even the smallest twig would snap off. Confused, Elijah figured he'd go back into the Unseen for more answers. So that's what he did, he sat down as the base of the massive oak tree and fell asleep. When he was within the Unseen he asked the voices what was so special about the tree and why was he unable to even snap off the tiniest branch. The voices spoke in unison and stated that the tree was of both planes, the Unseen and ours and if he wanted a piece he needed to break a piece off within the Unseen. So that's just what he did, he walked over to the massive oak tree and put his hand through one of the larger branches and it shaped off." Rhage and I both raised a brow "Wow wow wow wait hold up," Rhage lifted his hand to pause the story "he put his hand through the massive oak tree and it just snapped off? How in the moon goddess' name did he do that?" My mother nodded her head knowing how bizarre it sounded and continued. "Well usually anything he touched in the Unseen that was on our plane would split wherever he touched, therefore he touched a branch and boom a piece split off. After that he made this box you see here with it." Rhage and I both nodded our heads in understanding, "ok, so if the wood itself has magical energy what is all this?" And I motioned to all of the carvings on the box. "Well, I'm not sure they appeared on the box only after Elijah finished making the box." I stared at my mom, eyes wide, impossible I thought. What kind of oak tree is this?

Rhage and I walked outside for some air after our talk with my mom. "That was some heavy information your mom just unloaded on us" Rhage started as he raked a hand through his hair. "Yeah.." I agreed while wondering if I am able to do the same thing Elijah was with the oak tree. "Maze, what's on your mind?" Rhage interrupted my train of thought. "Well, I don't get it, if this oak tree is so powerful why did Elijah use it to protect himself and my mother from the Gemini curse? It makes no sense, I need to find this tree too I guess. "Hmm" Rhage nodded his head and I c****d my head to the side while looking up to him. Rhage smiled and grabbed my hands to pull me closer to him. I felt the sparks and allowed my body to be led closer to his until I was flushed up against his chest. He lowered his head down to my neck and whispered "Why don't you ask the Unseen?". Why didn't I think of that?! "Oh my gosh you're amazing, thank you!" I reached up to kiss Rhage on the cheek but he turned at the last second and my lips landed on his. What was meant to be a quick peck turned into a heated make-up session. Rhage consumed me as I couldn't get enough of him either until we heard someone clear their throat when we finally stopped but we didn't stop immediately, we took our time to savor each other before breaking away. "Well good to know that a childhood crush could bloom into something more" my mother stood by the front door and smiled at us. Rhage raised his brow at her and spoke to my mother "how'd you know I had a crush on Maze back then?". What? He liked me too? I went to open my mouth to say something but was cut off by my mom "Oh sweetie I see and notice everything, now go stop by Summer's house before going to Harry's Bed & Breakfast. Her and Rhage will catch you up on the town so you know what you are walking into." I turned to look up at Rhage and saw his jaw was clenched tight. Did something happen between Summer and him? My mom noticed the look on my face, just like she said she sees it all. "Summer is head over heels for your brother baby but Damian was too blind to notice before…" she trailed off hoping she didn't need to finish her sentence and I just nodded my head in her direction to show my understanding. Rhage released his grip around my waist but grabbed my hand to lead me to his car, a dodge charger, which was black with metallic blue accents. Opening the front passenger door for me he said "Alright time to go see Summer" and closed it after I was comfortably sitting and buckled in. Walking around to the driver's side he got in, buckled up and pulled out of the driveway to head towards Summer's place
