After telling both Summer and Rhage of my vision they were silenced. The food came out the minute I was done talking so thankfully our server didn't hear. Not that she wouldn't have been able to if she tried Amy was a witch from Summer's coven. Amy was a few years older then us so we weren't friends but we knew who one another was. Rhage took a moment to process my vision before digging into his food and then pausing again. "So," Rhage started to say and I looked up from my shake to show him my focus was on him. "We need more information before we decide to go into Blackwater's dark Forest, therefore, when we are done here we are LEAVING. Whether it's Summer's house or ours I don't care, we will not stay here a minute longer." Rhage finished saying while putting a French fry into his mouth. "But-" I tried to interject but both Rhage and Summer snapped their heads in my direction startling me into silence. "No," Summer started but paused to steal a fry from Rhage and he glared at her "we aren't coming back here until we are prepared and ready to enter that forest. And right now we don't know jack sh*t about sh*t." She shoved the fry into her mouth ignoring Rhage's glare as he tries to eat all of his frys before she can grab another. "She's right," Rhages starts as he finishes what is in his mouth before speaking again. "We need to talk to Amy, and we need to-" Rhage paused to see if anyone was listening in on our conversation and noticed there was so he made air quotes and then continued "do more research". Summer and I both nodded our heads knowing he would tell us both later what he meant by 'research'. I have a feeling he may mean the book my uncle had written and or the Unseen itself, either way I wasn't going to argue. I've heard werewolf mates can be scary if their mate is in any danger, I believe it to be best not to test that theory here at the Diner. As Rhage and Summer both finished their orders I pulled out a black ink pen and grabbed a clean napkin. I began to write my number and a note to Amy, it read 'We need to talk, call me' with my number and I signed it with the initial of my first name, M. She will know who I am, I don't need to write my full name. Once Amy saw that we were done and ready to pay she came over to our table. I folded the napkin up small and hid it within the folded money I was about to hand her for her own tip. After Rhage was handed back his card for his meal I handed Amy the money "this is for you" and I made direct eye contact when I handed her the money to let her know there was something else in there. Amy nodded her head knowingly and thanked us for coming. Interestingly she didn't say 'come again like the other human hostess. I understand why, but I wonder if she knows more than the rest of us since she works here at Harry's Bed & Breakfast. Guess I'll find out later when she contacts me.

We left the diner without any issues, surprisingly the minute we walked out the front door the smell of blood was no longer in the air. This worried Rhage and he hurried us into the car as quickly as possible. I didn't feel the presence of something watching us but I listened nonetheless to ease my mate. Wow that sounds weird even saying it in my own head. We got in the car and the second we were on the road driving away from the diner Rhage grabbed my hand to hold while he drove. Awe, this simple gesture calmed and relaxed me instantly and I figured it did the same for him since his stiff shoulders seemed to loosen up. I just smiled admiring Rhage from the passenger seat, almost forgetting we had Summer in the back. The sound of someone clearing their throat brought me out of my daze of staring at Rhage. He only smiled and gave me a sideways glance since he was 'trying' to focus on the road ahead of us. That MF knew I was ogling him, d*** it, and to think I was being sneaky. I guess you can't really be sneaky if there is another person in the car. Summer finally spoke up "So when's the wedding?" She wiggled her eyebrows at us on the last word. My jaw dropped and Rhage just burst out laughing. "Um I'm pretty sure that won't be a thought until after we get Damian back," Rhage looked up to the rear view mirror to acknowledge that he was talking to Summer. He smiled but behind that smile I could feel the pain behind it. "I know," Summer placed a hand on both of ours. "I just figured I'd break the silence somehow and just figured I would ask." Summer removed her hand from ours and I gave Rhage's hand a squeeze to let him know I am here for him too. I know how much he cared for my brother. He is my brother's Guardian, his protector and best friend. "Well," I began "let's talk about that 'research' you mentioned back at the diner". Summer and I looked over at Rhage waiting for an answer. "Well, I was thinking we should try and ask the Unseen what this creature could be, also if you are able to take out the book and read it." Rhage said exactly what I thought he would, Summer spoke up before I did "Wait, Why would she have to ask the Unseen just to read a book? Why can't she just read it? What kind of book is this if you are saying she needs to ask the Unseen as if it's her mom or dad?" I started to laugh at her last question while Rhage smiled and shook his head. "That's a lot of questions you got there Summer, you good if I answer them one at a time and not all at once?" Rhage sarcastically asked her, Summer playfully smacked him in the arm and told him to just 'answer the d*** questions'. I just smiled watching my friends interact, well mate and one of my friends. I missed them, I miss Damian. He should be here but he's not. I have a feeling that having Rhage as my mate will never be enough for me to feel whole if my brother isn't here with us. I knew Rhage could sense my inner Turmoil by the way he gave my hand a squeeze and started to massage the palm of my hand with his thumb. The relief it gave me was good but it wasn't enough to make me feel 100% better. He began to answer Summer's questions with a question first, "have you read any books about the Unseen, or heard of any books written about the Unseen?" Summer seemed to really think about his question before answering. "Huh, now that I think about it no," she looked as if she was going to ask another question but decided to bite her tongue. "That's because they're physically not allowed to be." Rhage answered rather cryptic. Summer only raised her brow at him patiently waiting for him to continue. "Apparently any book that was attempted to be written about the Unseen has either magically disappeared or has burst into flames. Books seem to be prohibited in documenting the Unseen." Rhage stared out to the road ahead of him as we seemed to be heading towards Summer's house. Rhage continued to answer Summer's questions though none the less because Summer was for once oddly silent waiting for the answers. She nodded from time to time to acknowledge that her attention was solely on Rhage as he spoke. This witch seemed to really care for my twin to stay quiet for so long to hear every piece of information that Rhage had to offer her. He went on to explain that my uncle was able to write about the Unseen after they told him how. That there was a magical tree in the black Forest behind the diner, which could only be cut within the Unseen in order to break a piece off within our realm. Rhage then explained how this tree was the only thing protecting this book from existing in general. He then added that we have no idea if we can even open the box without anything bad happening to the book, therefore, that is why he is suggesting I ask the Unseen if we could read the book without interference of it's destruction.
We were parked in the driveway of Summer's house for about 20 minutes while Rhage still continued to help Summer understand. Once he finished I noticed that she hadn't moved a muscle since pulling up to her house. "Summer?" I tried to gain her attention by placing my hand over hers. She looked down at my hand over hers and I noticed she had a worry stone within her hands. "Which one is this one?" Knowing I could bring her out of her own head asking about one of the few things she loves. "Fluorite" was all Summer said as she glanced down at the stone which was a mix of deep purples and light see through green. "It's beautiful, what does it help with?" I asked another question as she traced the stone with her finger tips. Her fingers stopped tracing the stone and she looked up at me with unshed tears in her eyes. "Whatever is it, please let me help get Damian back" it was more of a statement than a question that Summer breathed out. It may have been weak due to seeing the pain all over my friend but I tried to smile and reassure her. "Of course" Rhage and I spoke at the same time. Summer smiled for a split second then grabbed her bag and opened the back seat door to leave but not before pausing as if she forgot something. She glanced at both Rhage and I before speaking directly to me. "This isn't easy for any of us but don't let it affect what you have with Rhage," she smiled in his direction and then stepped out of the car. "Oh! And by the way, it helps with grounding and balancing energies. Mental AND emotional." She gave us one last wave before entering her home. Rhage drove us home in a comfortable silence, and we held hands the whole way back.
