The little drone rushed out into the open, heading back to the factory on a path that would take it right over Alu’s head. He heard several more up there.
Raising his staff into the air, Alu opened the Gravity-Sources within the two golden wings. Drones were pulled out of the sky like swatted flies. He had to hop back lest they crash right into him. “Hey, what are you doing down there?” Miller demanded. “You nearly pulled me off the roof!”
Alu ignored him. There was no time.
Twirling his staff, he caught the shaft with both hands and slammed the butt down on the pavement. A tidal wave of kinetic force expanded in all directions, hurling drones into the walls of the storage facilities. Smashing them to bits. “Gods above!” Rin panted. “Could you be a little more careful?”
