After a while I fell asleep. One moment I was lying there staring at the ceiling of the most beautiful room I had ever slept in, listening to the Dawnridge river moving quietly outside my window, and the next moment I was gone. But it wasn't the kind of sleep that rests you. It was the kind that takes you somewhere. Selene pulled me in before I even realised what was happening. I felt her the way I always did when she was doing something intentional a gentle pressure behind my eyes, a warmth that spread through my chest, and then the room disappeared entirely.
