Angelica’s POV
I've since had a change of heart. I was ready to open my room door when he grabbed my hand roughly and pushed me over, "Are you no longer sane?"", I questioned as I stood up, but he pushed me back into the mattress and placed his right leg on the bed.
"I've already told you this before, but I'll say it again. DON’T. Talk to me in that manner. And I've already told you this: I'm no longer your mate. But I am your Alpha and your husband.I am also your wife, your Luna, and your equal in that way.
I responded indignantly, "If you are going to treat me like sh*t, I won't even consider leaving you.
Immediately, I noticed that the color of his eyes was beginning to shift.Ivory explained the reason for his eyes starting to change by saying, "His wolf didn't appreciate the fact that you talked about leaving them.
He yelled aggressively in my face, "MINE."Once, to my amazement, I could make out concern underneath his rage.
Why did he feel so fearful?Fearing you'll lose me?Before I could give this some more thought, Ryder again grabbed my hand and forced me to stand before dragging me out of my room.
I gaped at him in disbelief.Where did he used to take me?Finally, he came to a stop in front of Mr. Charles.
"My wife and I are leaving right now."I looked all over for my stepmother, but I couldn't find her.
Ryder virtually sped toward his car after taking my hand in his and letting me leave the packhouse."Stop! I tried to release my hand from his hold but was unsuccessful since it was too tight. I lied and said, "I have to say goodbye to my mother.
"Ryder's eyes grew droopy. I recognize falsehoods, Angelica. Once more dragging me till we eventually arrived close to his car, he said, "It's time for us to go home.

It used to be a peaceful day to go to Ryder's Pack. Neither of us said anything to the other after that argument. Additionally, there used to be little to talk about.
If it weren't for his family's reputation, Ryder would have preferred to be my sister rather than my wife. And I don't think he would threaten me to get my attention.
"Ivory, what happens when everyone gets two friends?"’ "One can remain with both mates in very few cases.
"And it would never occur in our situation since I am unable to share my husband. He has to choose between Arella and myself.
"Hmm, and in different situations, one has to choose between the two," the speaker said. And in this situation, Arella—rather than me, whom he had been bullied into marrying—would be the one he would genuinely choose. How do you feel?’ "I'm not sure.
Only a select few things are perplexing. Before stepping outside, she said, "I'll talk about it later.
"When I reappeared, I saw that Ryder's Pack had already accepted me. And everyone was looking at the car with interest, possibly eager to meet their Luna.
But how would they react if they learned that their Alpha had adopted someone else as his Luna?
The car finally came to a stop near the packing house. I stepped out of the car while being conscious of my steps as I observed a woman my age or younger than me eagerly open the door for us.
"Hello, in-law sister! I'm Chloe, Ryder's sister," she added, flashing a broad grin.I said "hi" and appeared normal again.
I felt like hell since there were too many eyes on me! But the moment his hand wrapped around my little waist, all of my anxiety vanished.
* * *
After they got inside the mansion she immediately ran to her room then Ryder knew something must be wrong. His wolf started to feel restless.
Ryder's aunt noticed his expression and asked, "Why did you?" but he cut her off, saying, "I'm not sure."
He asked if she had said anything lately, but he was already on his way to Angelica's room to search for her.
The last thing he remembered was asking her to fetch some items from her room. He climbed the stairs rapidly, his heart racing with each step.
The closer he got to her room, the more anxious he became. He expected to hear her or at least catch her scent more strongly than before, but none of that was happening.
Ryder burst open the door to Angelica's room and quickly scanned the space. His wolf reminded him to open the door quietly, but his anger and impatience overwhelmed him.
He realized that everyone could now see his anger and behavior, and they would also notice that Angelica was no longer there. He didn't find a trace of her in the room.
Frustrated and furious, he clenched his fists and punched the wall, causing his wolf to growl in anger, blaming Angelica for running away.
As Ryder stood in Angelica's empty room, his mind raced with thoughts and questions.
Why would she run away? Did she not want to be with him? Was she scared? His anger slowly transformed into worry and confusion as he tried to piece together what could have led her to disappear so suddenly.
His aunt, who had followed him to the room, placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. "Ryder, we need to find her. She can't be far," she said, her voice filled with concern. Ryder nodded, his determination ignited once again.
He couldn't bear the thought of losing Angelica, not after they had just become mates.
Ryder swiftly gathered the pack members, explaining the situation and urging them to join the search. The entire pack mobilized, fanning out in different directions to cover as much ground as possible.
Ryder's wolf instincts kicked in, leading him to sniff the air and follow any faint traces of Angelica's scent.
After what felt like an eternity, a pack member reported a possible sighting of a woman matching Angelica's description in a small village a few miles away.
Hope ignited in Ryder's chest as he rallied his pack and headed towards the village, his heart pounding with anticipation.
Upon reaching the village, Ryder's heightened senses led him straight to the house where Angelica was rumored to have been seen.
He approached cautiously, his pack members fanned out behind him.
The door creaked open, revealing a small, dimly lit room. There, in the corner, huddled and trembling, was Angelica.
Ryder's initial anger melted away at the sight of her fear-stricken face. He rushed to her side, his concern evident in his voice. "Angelica, it's me, Ryder”.
She was in bad shape so he took her home and was determine never to let her move out of the house .
He had some guards stand guard in front of her room at all time.

After only a few days, Angelica was locked up with little to no freedom; she was confined to her home and was never outside.
She attempted to take advantage of the situation to plan her attack on Alpha Ryder, but every day she would learn that the plans she had created had been lost or taken, especially if they had been written or made by the guards who came for inspection.
All of the sharp objects or anything else she could have used to commit suicide had also been taken, leaving her with no choice but to turn to the shelves of books in her room.
When the door opened, one of the guards, Landon, entered wearing a stunning white dress. Three Omegas were waiting for him behind him, with jewels, cosmetics, and shoes.
The Alpha told him, "Get ready for the banquet."He spoke, and Angelica laughed. She responded, "Tell him to come to me if he wants me to wear this.
I have a lot of things to say to him and things I wish I could do to him, but I can only do all that if he's close to me.
"In the hopes that Ryder would arrive on his own, as she had requested, she pushed Landon and the Omegas outside.
She had no idea he was following her.Are you testing my forbearance? She was startled by his question and wondered how he was there so quickly, but she quickly brushed the question aside.
He shut the door behind them and had a deathly expression in his eyes. She chided him, but her stance was quite small in comparison to the towering man she had to look up to.
"Do you think I am going to dress up and pretend to be your Luna? Let me just burst your bubble; I am not doing any of that," she said.
Do you desire death? This was not what she expected; she had imagined she would have the confidence to damage him once she saw him, but he was too frightening to even raise a finger against.
He inquired as he walked closer to her, and she retreated in terror. Her hands were trembling with terror as she retreated until she struck the desk.
A flower vase was on the desk, and she gently took it up in an attempt to smash it on his skull, but someone had a firm hold of her hand.
The vase fell to the ground, but Ryder's hold on her hand remained. He used his right hand to circle her neck, exposing his claws.
