Chapter 6

Ryder knew exactly what she was going to do, and he stopped her right away. Angelica immediately realized that he had killed her family before, so he could kill her too.

"I've been tolerating all of your pointless behavior for a very long time; don't put me to the test, Angelica, as you won't like the result.

He gave her the instruction to "get ready for the banquet" and left her with the Omega to make her pretty.

Late in the evening, guests from several packs, all of whom were ranked members and their families, packed the Red Moon pack.

They all came to rejoice over the news that Alpha Ryder had given birth to a Luna.Ryder didn't bother to meet the visitors; instead, he delegated the task to Gamma Lucian, who stood by the door and greeted each and every individual who entered.

A stunning young girl entered through a side door that had been kept shut. She was wearing a white dress, a tidy ponytail with bangs, and black shoes.

She was frowning as she stood there and observed everyone.Although Angelica was a little reserved because she had never been around such a large audience, that didn't change the fact that she didn't want to be there acting falsely.

Alpha Ryder briefly gazed at her before averting his eyes.The Alpha next to him said, "She is beautiful," but he kept quiet.

He had no choice but to go to Angelica, as she was still standing.He motioned for her to hold him as he stood by her side, and she did so because she was fully aware that if she didn't follow his instructions, things wouldn't go well for her.

A woman approached them and said, "You have such a lovely Luna.""Whose Luna did you say I was?

Unwilling to accept nasty insults from anyone, Angelica retaliated,Ryder was enraged by what she stated after claiming to have heard a faint growl by her side.

Isn't that the truth, you say? She hushed him, and his aura suddenly grew chilly. He turned to face her, bent his head slightly, and left the dining hall.

Angelica, on the other hand, looked silly with all eyes on her, so shequickly bowed to them and also followed him out.

The guests were astonished by his unexpected act and puzzled as to why he would leave his own party and his Luna

.Beta Arthur said the expletive "s**t" and took the microphone to discuss what had just occurred.He said, "The Alpha has some emergencies to attend to; please enjoy the party," and everyone carried on

.The only people who knew Ryder was upset and needed to express it were him and Gamma Lucian.Through the mind-link, Gamma Lucian stated, "She must have said something to irritate him," and Beta Arthur agreed.

Throughout the entire evening, Alpha Ryder was not sighted.

It was Angelica's eighteenth birthday, and she was eager to meet her wolf. As she stepped outside the house, however, she was unable to locate any guards.

Angelica wondered if her words had somehow reached Ryder or if they were aware that she would turn eighteen and had decided to grant her some freedom.

In any case, she didn't care.With her newly discovered freedom, she went for a walk through and into the woods behind the home.

"Hello," a voice in her head said.She said, "Hello," well aware that it was her wolf.Her wolf cheerfully introduced herself as Diamond, indicating that she was just as eager to meet Angelica as Angelica was.

I'm Angelica, and it's nice to meet you, Diamond," she said.She could sense that they belonged together, and it felt nice to talk to her.Do you feel prepared for this?"

Ivory asked directly since she was anxious to introduce herself and reveal her color.

Angelica responded, "As ready as I will ever be. I've waited my whole life to meet my other counterpart, and I wish my wolf would just be as strong as me, providing me with a sense of support for these difficult times I'm going through right now.

A silvery white wolf stood erect in its immense stature, and there was a loud crackling sound of bones until Ivory let out a small growl that drowned it out.We are big, Angelica said.

She had anticipated her wolf to be typical wolf pup size, as all wolves were when they first appeared."And unique," Ivory added, obliquely implying that they possessed special abilities.Want to run around?" Angelica said, and Ivory didn't need to be reminded twice.

She sprinted as quickly as her paws would allow her to do so, taking pleasure in the feel of the grass beneath her feet, the gentle breeze caressing her fur, and the way everything seemed to move slowly.

She sprinted until she reached the castle, but as soon as she saw a guy observing her, she lost her footing and fell.

She couldn't help but notice him because of how seductive his aroma was.Angelica was astounded by the word "mate" that she used.

She objected, "No, he can't be our mate," since she couldn't mate with the man who had killed her family.

The person who put her through so much suffering, making her feel sadness and pain, took away her independence and kept her as his slave while saying she was his Luna.

Because of Angelica's memories, Ivory was aware of everything that had occurred.

She also realized that the man she had just chosen as her mate was the source of Angelica's sadness and loneliness, despite her attempts to portray a happy attitude about acquiring a wolf.

While watching from the balcony, Alpha Ryder spotted a silvery-white wolf running around and recognized her as Angelica.

He kept a close eye on her until she turned to face him.He was positive that she knew he was her mate at the time, but he was even more certain that it would not make her love him any less. He returned to the castle on foot.

The truth was terrible, and it took longer than the few minutes that they had earlier been joyful and enjoying their calm moments.

Ivory let out a small cry of anguish, and they were both quite worried that they couldn't move or utter a word.

Ivory sat there in the rain, hurt and crushed, as the cloud seemed to comprehend how bereaved they were and let its contents pour on her.

She questioned the moon goddess, "Why did it have to be him?".

She was married to the man who killed her family; what a cruel twist of fate!They were broken into 1,000 pieces.

Angelica spent days sobbing uncontrollably inside the house because she felt that her life was a waste and that there was no way she could ever get out of the situation she was in.

No one could comfort her because a better outcome for her fate was what she desired, not consolation.

Every night, she could feel the pressure getting heavier and heavier on her as she sat in her room under the cover of darkness and let out a dark scream to express her rage.

She would sooner die than be with him; hence, she could never accept being his mate.

She continued to cry until she passed out while seated on the floor.The following morning, Angelica had a desire and rushed to the kitchen to prepare something for herself.

However, once she had recovered, she understood that she didn't need food because her body was using too much energy.

"Diamond, what's going on? She turned to the only person she believed to be able to provide a solution.

Ivory explained that she was experiencing heat, but she didn't understand it because she had never heard of it before and hadn't had an opportunity to learn more about it.

She instantly felt the urge to get s****l and wanted to find a man.

Beta Arthur and Gamma Lucian struggled to stop the men from entering the house as they guarded the door.

They could feel it too, but because they respected Alpha Ryder and believed that Angelica was his Luna, they were able to control themselves.

The others, on the other hand, couldn't because they weren't. Angelica's heat was capable of drawing any man, which is what was happening.

In response to the men's frightened stiffening and cowering, Alpha Ryder approached the home and yelled for his beta and gamma to get everyone out before he slaughtered them all.

He waited until they had left to finally unlock the door while preparing himself for what would happen.

Angelica was utterly insane and had lost all awareness of the outside world as she lay on her body, stroking her body.She could feel a guy's presence, but her need prevented her from recognizing him.

Either she didn't know it was Ryder, or she knew it was him but assumed it was simply another man who could satisfy her want.

Ryder was a little stunned by how violently she kissed him after she pounced on him.How powerful was her heat that she didn't realize it was him?

It would be disingenuous to pretend he didn't long for this every night, but it was well concealed under his hard and frigid heart.

He quickly returned the kiss while holding her in his arms.When Angelica took her first steps, all of those urges surfaced, and he was unable to contain them any longer.

He laid Angelica on the bed and gave her a passionate kiss while sticking his tongue into her lips to relish her flavor.
