Chapter 4

Angelica’s POV

I was married to an arrogant and callous Alpha, so I was unable to grieve any longer over my destiny.

I wonder what his issue was. At one point, I noticed him staring at me with an expression I couldn't place, but at the same time, he gave off the impression that he didn't give a damn about this marriage and had nothing to do with me.

Why would he, though?He had intended to wed my sister, but we ended up getting married.

He told me to appear to be looking at him, and after giving me a warning, he grabbed my waist and pressed his lips on mine.

The wave of emotions that slammed into my heart used to catch me off guard. I couldn't figure out why I was feeling such strong, unexpected feelings for him.

I grasped his black suit in an effort to keep myself from toppling over.And just as he kissed me before I was ready, he withdrew from me so quickly that I was left with the impression that I was a plague from which he wanted to stay as far away as he could.

But his eyes told a different story.When he said he wouldn't mark me in the past.

I once again felt a slight ache in my heart, but I had no idea why. I think I was prepared for this already.

It goes without saying that he would mark his partner and not me.

"Take everything you own out of your room. In spite of the fact that he once again sounded arrogant, I enjoyed the fact that he said "our home" before departing for home.

I used to be his housekeeper.My stepmother had promised to give me these pages, so I hurriedly entered the house to retrieve them.

However, I might need to find her first.I reacted angrily when Omega called me "Luna Angelica," and I said, "Luna Angelica," in response. It took me a while to realize that I was Luna because I was once married to an Alpha.

"Your mom asked me to give this to you," I said.I took the document she was holding with a nod of my head.

My skin felt as though something changed the moment the moonlight touched it. I rubbed my hands together gently and started to run as swiftly as I should toward the forest, but I suddenly came to a stop when I suddenly noticed white hairs growing out of my hands.

I ceased taking walks and touched my palms once more.What sort of twisted comic was this?

I attempted to remove those white, furry hairs from my palm, but my hand ached as I did so!It seemed like there were parts of my body, but how could that be because I had just undergone waxing a few days earlier?

I screamed "Aaahhhh" as I slumped to the ground, my body racked with a searing pain that began in my stomach and spread throughout it. I observed the transition of my nails' color from white and pink to black.

My body also started to get covered in these white furs more densely than previously.Could it be that I'm moving?", I asked myself, but I didn't hear back from anyone.I could feel the cracking and realigning of bones.

I wanted to scream and cry out in anguish, but I was unable to do so since, by that point, I had lost my voice and could only whimper. I shut my eyes and continued to whimper until the pain eased.

A few moments later, I heard a happy female voice. Hello! Please open your eyes."I followed the advice and found no one nearby.

My eyes widened when I realized that my toes had changed from being human toes to fuzzy paws.

I did a 360-degree flip, but all I saw was my tail!I overheard someone laughing. I quickly ceased my foolish endeavor and became aware.

"Well, I'm to blame!" It no longer appears each and every day. I'm talking about changing from a human to a wolf.

I distinctly heard that voice saying, "Yeah, that's right.""Who are you? I said, "Please," but my voice didn't sound human.

I felt foolish for posing that query.Nevertheless, Lica, I can hear you. I am a phase of you, after all. I don't want to make you more perplexed.

Long story short, I'm Ivory, your resident lycan. With that, I saw a gigantic wolf, whose fur had been as white as milk, start to take shape in my mind.‘Lycan?’ You don't have any knowledge of wolves or their past, do you? I couldn't help but shake my head critically

." Okay, then! She yelled in excitement, changing the topic she had been announcing before to "I will explain... MATE."‘Mate? I presume our Mate?’

‘Yes! I hope you comprehend the link between Mate and Mate.‘I do! I don't wish to belabor the point, but I am aware that this is the character that the Moon Goddess sent your way in order to love and cherish you.‘Perfect.

Consider your human form right now. We must meet our match.' At first, the idea of having a partner made me happy, but then the realization hit me like a truck.

I panicked and retorted, "But... I am already married to someone else who is my sister's mate."My Lycan looked at me as if to say, "You've got to be kidding me.""Excuse me, but I must go.

I prefer not to meet our partner. Because I am aware of the nature of the mate bond, I don't want to be somebody who cheats on someone just because that person has found their soul mate.‘But…’

"Plz, Ivory. I begged, "Let's get out of here before he gets here." I could smell the wonderful scent of sandalwood and lavender approaching me.‘Fine!!', She reluctantly consented to my request and then started running.

My senses suddenly became ten times more acute, and I felt like I could run as quickly as a vampire. As I ran, the wind ruffled across my fur, cheering up my depressed disposition.

This sensation used to be great.Ivory used a different route to get to my house, and when she told me to, I was transformed back into a human again while still wearing my wedding gown.She murmured, "Perks of being an Alpha Lycan," in my head.

What benefits does Alpha Lycan offer?" I inquired of her as I climbed the mountain to my room.She boasted, "No one can feel my presence until I want them to feel it.

By the way, I can still smell our companion in this room. Are you sure this is yours?’ 'Me too. But I doubt he can come here.

I answered, more like I explained to myself, "Only restricted humans are allowed to enter my room, and I don't assume our mate will try to risk his existence by trespassing in our pack without Alpha's permission.

"I eventually went to my room and sighed in relief, thinking that I hadn't been discovered, but my joy didn't last long since Ryder was sitting on my bed staring menacingly at me.Oh boy! Ivory yelled in ecstasy, "MATE," with glee.

"Are you certain? I am married to him, and he is the partner of my sister.Ivory quickly fell silent as he considered what I had just said, and I gasped in fear as I saw him advance on me angrily.This is not good right now.

"Where have you been?", was the first thing he asked.He was already in my room when I replied honestly, "In the forest." I had thought about entering through the window, but he was already there. Therefore, lying had no purpose for him.

"I'm aware of that, Angelica. He continued, approaching me, "Don't try to be very smart; you understand what I'm asking.

I attempted to move backward, but my lower back collided with the window, causing me to realize that there was nowhere for me to go.

"I don't understand what you are trying to ask. Why not address this to me directly? Perhaps then you will receive your response?", I innocently mumbled behind me.Ivory, where are you?’ Sure, I am.

"I'm going to let him know about you. He has the right to know about you, whether you're a couple or not.I'm eager to meet our partner, but I'm still having trouble accepting the fact that he is also your sister's partner.

Is he lucky to have two friends?" She questioned me, and I had no idea what she was asking.

And after hearing what she had to say, I already started to detest the idea of having to share my spouse with anyone else. I neither want to be his second choice nor do I like any second-place women in his lifestyle.

Unknown levels of jealousy and rage started to fill my body.So let me ask you straight up.
