Alpha Ryder was once still protecting me in his arms, gently patting my back. My respiration eventually slowed to a normal rate. Once I was calmer and extra clear-headed, I realized that the child was still in my womb, not my arms.
“It’s nothing. It was just a nightmare. It wasn’t real.”
