Selene p.o.v

I sit at the fountain looking for my beloved as I had for the last month with no avail. I could not find him, and my fear kept growing, I had completed the wedding ceremony to that vial jack ass Lyonisis and I had begun to hate more each day. I spent my time here in my garden and slept here often. I had been watching his decisions at a new little tribute I figured out I had after the ceremony. After my ceremony taking over the moon, I discovered that the fountain my garden could be used to watch others; anyone, even in the earth realm. He had never had a for thought of Adam. There was not any logical explanation as to why I could not find him with my magic.

“OH, dear daughter what a mess you have made.” My mother surprised me as she appeared with pink rose petals flying everywhere.

“Rose petals mother?”

“I was in the flower garden of the Fairies making some arrangements and I needed to talk to you.”

“Mother, now is not a suitable time.” I turn back to my fountain.

“Oh, but it is.” she waves a hand, I flip around and find myself sitting in a chair facing her “You have walked way and ran from me for two months. I have been trying to help you since your father decided to throw his weight around and you keep making things worse. Do not think because you have come into your station that you will ever out rank me! So shut your insolent mouth and pay attention, I am not only your mother, but I am Queen of the Gods!!!” I felt the room shake, the fountain waters splash around and my mother who I had never seen angry or upset in the least lost her temper.

“Mother?” I sat frozen.

She cleared her throat and took a deep breath. “If you had not ran that night, I came to talk to you about your arrangement with that snake Lyonisis we would not be here. As it is I can only right so much. Do not Mother me and listen! Do you have any idea how many times I must try to right the wrongs your father has committed? He and some of your siblings are known to be ruthless and careless. You, Selene, have been different, but you are nonetheless just as careless. I have tried to fix the atrocities you father has committed within the extent of my powers, but this one was by far the hardest thing I have ever had to do.” I see tears forming in my mother’s eyes. “You are with child, a human child.” She smiles but her smile is so sad like her heart is breaking.

“Mother that is” I put my hand on my stomach that had yet to start growing.

“Selene, are you so naive to think I the mother would not know? I create I know the scheme of things I am the mother Goddess, Selene!!!” she takes another deep breath, “Your father luckily knows nothing about this. I have laid as many protections I can around you, this place and the children. He does know however that you defied him and saw the mortal after he told you not too. I did everything I could to stop him.”

Fear and anger shot through me, “Mother.”

“I was able to save his life force along with his village but not in a way that honestly makes me feel better about it. I have had to do this hundreds of times and it sickens me, but they do not deserve to die because he wants to be evil.” She rants. “Any life is better than no life, is it not?” She paced nervously.

“His village, his life force, mother, what are you saying?” I shot up out of the chair and began to cry.

“They sought out to kill him and anyone else in their path but I luckily intervened. Of course, Zeus does not know this, but I was able to Teather him but know this he is forever changed.”

“Changed mother what does that mean.” I cry,

“Come you shall see.” She waves her hands and suddenly we are in the garden of the fairies. I see eyes glowing from the darkness and I hear a pained howl, then suddenly a giant black wolf with big cocoa eyes came out of the forest and it looked as though he was crying, “Adam?” I would know those orbs anywhere. He comes and nuzzles my hand. “Mother?” I look up as I rub my hands through his plush fur.

“The animals in this realm are not like that of the human realm, they have magical powers, they can host a human spirit. So, I took wolves from here and placed them through all the realms over the last few centuries to Teather you father's victims too, it may not be the life they had but at least they could live because when a person is killed by the king of Gods then their life is not just over for now and to be reincarnated like others, No when Zeus sets his sights to end them they are just ended gone never to exist again. Their souls are banished to the void or nothingness. I know that he is attached to the wolf, but it was better than being just gone.”

“Oh Adam,” I wail “I am so sorry my love” I got down on my knees and he towers over me laying his large head on top of mine. “Mother” I see tears beginning to fall down her face, I realize behind the power and the grace of queen she really does care, and it hurts to see my pain. “Mother” I say again, and she looks at me. “Is he truly in there?”

She nods, “As well as” and she motions behind us and I see other wolves, hundreds of wolves, “All of them have human counter parts. There are many all over all the realms. I have been toying with fate to save so many for so long. My abilities were limited to do much. I am the creator I tied their souls together, but Wolves are children to the moon, so I thought.” she smiled, “You are the moon goddess now. Together we might can change that.”

I stand at her side, and we lock hands, and the moon shines a little brighter I feel the power of the wind when all suddenly I hear “Selene!” Lyonisis voice and Adam growls and my mother raises her head suddenly alert. “I did not do this, I know your hurting over the human man, I couldn’t stop him.”

“Save it” I yell, “Moon phases hear my call.” My violet eyes glow even Lyonisis hits his knees, I feel a powerfulness inside me and it seems to know what to do, even if I am unsure “Wind and elements hear my call.” The wind begins to blow. “Nocturnal creatures lend me your energies.”

“Selene,” My mother’s worried voice sound as she touches my hand, her eyes begin to glow just like mine as she touches my hand. “I the Lunar Princess”

“And I the Queen hear our call.”

“And do my will, help these that have been wronged and give them their fair chance. Let us unwind fate and start a new path as the moon glows grant this gift.” Adam begins to whine, and I hear bones cracking and howls ringing out all over the mountains and fields. Flower petals blow around in circles while wind blows ferociously. “From hence forth ye shall be called the Lycans and this is your king. The moon will grant many wonderful gifts. My mother's hand raised “Come meet your king.” Adam’s fur and body grew till they were claws and fur covered arms and legs. The wolves of the realm came from every angle.

“I dub thee King Adam the first Lycan of many” My mother decrees as several wolves begin to transform Infront of us those like you I saved from my husband's rath for a long time as well as your village is here, they are your pack your people, my daughter has given you purpose and a new life “Rise” I say, “be human and animal and live together in harmony.”

“Adam” I smile “I am sorry.”

“For what you and your mother saved us.” He touches my face, “Selene, do not cry. I have never felt so alive so good. We still cannot be though, can we?”

“I am afraid not, my love but I can give you something though. You as the king have three forms, lycan, wolf, and human. You shall be stronger than the others. Your children will have the same to continue the royalty that has been created here. You must move on! My lunar children should not be taken advantage of; soul mates, I raise my hand above my head and my mother grabs my other hand again. Asking me “let me” I nod “From here forth and from around the realms.” the wind picks up a purple light shimmer and soars across the sky. “Every mystical being in all the realms shall have a mate. Another being made to complete them in every way. They shall know this person from the depths of their soul as they are of one of hearts. You will know your mate by sight, by touch and sent.” We clapped and a purple glitter rained down and on all the realms. “Mother you understand all this will you help them get what they need and understand the new mate bond as well as what to expect, mother I cannot” She nodded.

“Goodbye, my love, be happy” I kiss his cheek and ascend home.

Two years later

“Hello darlings” Mother walks into my room as I watch my children sleep. “I wish things could be different they are such a joy.” She touches my daughter on her small head.

“You wish” I scoff, “There must be away.”

“Child, they must have a chance if Lyonisis or our father sees them they will know. We have kept them safe this long and we have been lucky.”

“I know but why must I give them up. They are my light, my world mother.” I cry.

“Because you were wrong because what we did altered a lot of things and because it is their best chance as being happy. I do have a gift though. I need you to bless this needle with your blood please.”

“A strange request,” I prick my finger and hand it back, “Mother.”

She walks over to my children and sticks their finger and whispers something inaudibly.

“What have you done” I ask when a white light glows around them before fading away.

“I have given them the Lycan wolf form like their father; I know you will take them to their father. Everyone must think they are ordinary Lycans. Gifted of course I cannot take that away, but some are naturally blessed so they will be seen as such.” Tears brim my eyes at least they will not be out of place, and they will never be alone.

“Thank you, mother, I guess it is time to get this over with.” I wave my arms and both bassines and I appear in a grand room beside a fireplace. I see a giant four posted bed in the center of it with big think blankets.

“Selene” Adam’s voice whispered in the dim light in shock.

“Yes, I am sorry to just pop in like this, but yes its me.” my face reddened he was shirtless with a drink in his hand.

“Adam” a soft voice followed.

“Who” I began to say heartbrokenly but I had no right to. I take in the blonde-haired woman placing her robe around her.

“Ember, this is Selene” He reaches his hand out to her helping her into my line of sight.

“Selene, The moon Goddess?” She looked awe struck as she puts her hand on her mouth and instantly bows to me. “I have heard everything about you, and I know your history with Adam. I am sorry, I am sure I am a shock but Thank you. You blessed us with mates and here I am.”

“Of course,” I swallow and take a deep breath fighting the tears that threaten toe escape, “I do not mean to intrude.”

“No intrusion” Adam takes a step toward me and grabs my hands, “My wolfs mate is Ember I have grown to love her as well, but Selene You will always hold a piece of my heart and Ember knows that as well.”

“I understand everyone has a past and this mate bond thing is still new to the world.” Ember says, smiling. I could not help but think how nice she was and understanding. No one could be okay with all this, could they? “Adam loves you Selene and I must accept that but at that same time you gave him the gift of a mate because you loved him. So, in some way I also believe you are happy he found me.”

“Yes of course, however all this doesn’t really matter, I am here for a reason and that reason is that I need your help Adam, and I guess Luna Queen Ember yours as well.” I could already feel the tears forming.

“What could a Goddess possibly need our help for?” Ember asks in a soft voice filled with concern and she touched Adams arm I notice he hesitates in touching her hand. It should not have but my heart hurt a little less by that.

A small cry was heard at that moment coming from my son's bassinet. “Shh” I walk around the side and lift the small chocolate haired boy up and sway with him relishing the moment for I knew it would be my last, I look into my son's eyes so much like his fathers, “I love you, Caleb.”

“Caleb?” Adam’s voice broke my inner thoughts. “Selene is this?”

“Yes,” I smile sadly. “I have been in hiding. Everyone thought I was mourning you. No one must ever know about them. My mother blessed them with a wolf. Of course, they will have powers as they are half Gods but some other wolves and being in the realms have other abilities, so they will not stick out too much.” I half smile. I hated giving them up, they were my only light in a world of nighttime.

“They?” Ember said softly while looking at the child in my arms.

I handed him to her kissing his forehead. I walk over and pick up my daughter, “Yes, Twins you also have a daughter, her name is Cassandra. I hope that you can love them as your own Luna Ember. I have seen the future, but it keeps changing, there shall be many wars fought and won some losses. Our children along with your own are at the fore front across time. I need you to assist with a few things also. When they are of age to find their mates. There will be a terrible uprising in another realm, you will make your leave from this land to that one making your kingdom there. Leaving your pack other than those closest two you leaving their first born as well. Leaving Ember moon pack in the care of one of your children. You will know at that time which one shall stay. You will call your new pack int the other realm. Blood moon because by blood you are so forged, with that I left...

Jesse P.o.v

“I blink my eyes a few hundred times readjusting to the blinding light, I was watching her memories as if I had been there. “So, Adam, your love met another and raised your children. So, the Lycan king is your now is your descendant.”

“Well not exactly, see that has been some time ago. I created fated mates for all the moon’s children. As you saw Adam met his fated, we never should have been. Our children Caleb and Cassandra led remarkably interesting lives; Cassandra’s life ended far too short tragically. She was the original Fae leader even though she had a wolf as well Celeste was her name; she was killed but that story is left for another time.” She had tears in her violet eyes. “Adam and Ember had a children and Ember had children before Adam. Adam and Embers son Aiden is still in the land of the Fae he is king of the Faries alongside his mate Queen Aurora. Ember had been a fairy before she was taken by the wolf, those traits went to her son making him the perfect ruler. Valkyrie Embers daughter she had shortly before Adam is your ancestor, you look remarkably like her. Her son Andrew also before Adam he was Valkyrie’s twin was the child taken to the new realm, not my son. He and Valkyrie were a lot older than Caleb and Cassandra. My son Caleb...” She sat beside the fountain brushing her long hair to the side, “Had a grim time with his sisters passing he refused to leave this realm, so the Lycan king that you have in is not the human realm is not the true Lycan king. He is the true alpha of alphas, he is the descendant of Calebs stepbrother.” She sprinkled dust into the fountain and looked at it fondly. I walk over to see what see is seeing, there stood a beautiful bold woman dressed in traditional Fae royal robe of emerald, green, her Firey hair blowing in the wind as she stood on rocks. I recognized that as the cliffs outside the Fae palace, one of my favorite places. Her eyes almost glowed, they were so violet much like that of Selene.

“Is that Cassandra?” she smiled and shook her head yes.

“Yes”

“Wow she looks just like Melanie. All but her eyes are blue instead of purple.” I was thoughtful, “But that isn't a coincidence, is it? Melanie is somehow connected to Cassandra, isn't she?”

“Very good, yes, she is Cassandra reborn, reincarnated if you will.” She waved her hand, and the image disappeared. “Cassandra never found her mate, she was to be Fae queen, but she met her end at the hands of her chosen lover, she was also cursed by this lover to become a vampire, she is Melanie’s ancestor also.”

“Wow” I sat and thought for a moment “This is crazy like information overload. That is why it is important for Melanie to find her mate because Cassandra did not’ the first time. Who makes these rules?”

“I tinker from time to time, but I don’t make the balances that makes the universe go round child and if you could understand these things then there would be no need for me, or any other god or goddess would there?” She snaps,

“That is what makes her the blessed one. "I state putting the pieces together.

“Yes, now I may see somethings but for some reason I cannot see who the blessed one's mate is. However, my son and his twin were close, I need you to go to him. He is still in this realm in the northern part of the territory he still has control over Ember moon to this day, he is different than everyone else, Ember moon ages differently. I need you to go and deliver a message for me. Tell him my prediction has happen, His sister is back and has been reborn. Inform him of the impending threat. He is what will bring Cassandra and Melanie to one being and will give her knowledge; the knowledge that is going to save you all. She will not be able to fight this threat alone and if anyone can help you find her mate it is him. I will be watching if I can see anything else I let you know when I can. I must try to stay out of it as much as possible. Us, beings like me getting involved with human affairs is what created all this mess to begin with. I am three thousand years trying to fix the messes that even my parents started. Now go without a moment to lose, time is of the essence.” she waved her hands, and I began to fall into the darkness again like I was weightless and there was nothing to grab on to.
