“Just stay, Melanie” Ethan pleaded, “They cannot harm you if you just stay”, He knelled before her grasping her hands as if he feared she would disappear.

“They will hunt us down and you know it” my heart breaks as tears stream down my face. “The only hope for this pack is if they do not know! They must never suspect us! They will never know!” I vowed, falling into his lap “I love you, Ethan Bloodmoon, with all my being. We will be together in time, but for now, for the safety of your family, my family must not know.”

“Melanie, what happens if they suspect? They will kill you or use you against me and our pack.” He put emphasis on the word Our, “Jasamine Blackheart must be knocked off this pedestal before she takes the throne. I agree with you, but you do not have to be a martyr to do so. You have escaped; you are safe, so there is no reason to send you back into infiltrate. Let them come, let the blood suckers storm my land and they will be sterilized before they can know what hit them. I will bring the entire Lycan kingdom down on their heads.”

They are vampire witch hybrids; they are the royal family and council of all the supernatural world.” I stressed. “I must leave my love, my darling Ethan, but I will come back, and we will win. I will protect you and this pack. I must believe that the moon goddess will protect me and lead me home.” With this I kissed his cheek and he reluctantly let me go with defeat in his eyes. With one last look over my shoulder, I stared into his Emerald orbs and made my way into the darkness to what I felt like would be my last lonely walk to the dreaded prison I once called home.
