The past few days of vacation were anything but comforting and the sight of the grand mansion, even if she still felt unfamiliar with it, brought her a sense of relief.
Waiting for them at the entrance was a tall figure with sharp features and a stern expression. As they drew closer, he stepped forward, his eyes focused intently on Lance.
"Welcome back, Alpha Lance," The man greeted, his tone formal. "And Luna Fiore."
Fiore managed a polite smile, though her mind was preoccupied by the man's identity. She doesn't recognize him, but he seems to know her.
Without looking, Lance sensed her unspoken curiosity. "Fiore, this is Dominic, my Beta. He's been away on my command and has returned recently."
