After Dinner, Sara stayed back to help clean and they all shared a bottle of wine, well all except Gwen, she had a small cup of tea and was listening to the conversation, Milly was full and watching TV in the living room, while the adults sat by the bar in the house. “I like what you did to the place, the house is very beautiful and spacious, I'd think you can house 50 dogs here” Sara said Laughing, “well I wanted it to be like a home to all, and 50 dogs don't sound that bad” Sara could tell that Lorenzo was looking at her and she smiled to herself “maybe I'm not such a hag,” she said to herself. “So Sara what brings you to Ukiah?” Lorenzo asked, accidentally hitting a sore spot. “I've read a lot of your works and watched the shows you run, you have a beautiful gift with women's fashion” he added. This time it was Gwen who responded “Sara designs so women feel like Gods, once I've had my baby, I would love to own something from your collection” Sara could only keep quiet, what seemed to be a great night had been soured by the mention of her life and work. Joseph could tell she was uncomfortable but he hadn't mentioned her divorce to his wife or feared that she would like to keep that information to herself. “let's not talk about work people, Sara is here with Milly to spend time with family, let's leave it at that” Lorenzo looked at her differently now, something was wrong but he couldn't tell what it was, and he barely knew the woman. Sara smiled and yawned pretending to be tired, she stood up and had a last swig of the wine, “I think I'll call it a night, I need Milly tucked in by nine, thank you so much for dinner, and Lorenzo for the song, I didn't understand it but it was lovely” She hugged Gwen and Joseph, picked Milly up, Milly kissed her uncle and aunt goodnight and they left. As she was just done setting Milly in the car, Lorenzo came out, “I hope I didn't say something wrong?, seems like I did” Sara turned around and saw him, he seemed like a genuine guy but she had to be real with him. “I'm fine Lorenzo, and I'd appreciate it if you stopped the advances, I think you're sweet but I don't think I need all of that right now okay?” Lorenzo was taken aback because he was sure he wasn't giving her anything more than a friendly vibe, but he understood her point and moved out of the way. “All alright, Goodnight Sara, I'll be staying at Joseph's till the new year. Just telling you in case we bump into each other again” lorenzo warned with a smile. Sara smiled politely and got into the car. Till the new year? Christmas wouldn't even be here yet until 2 weeks, she put on her happy face and drove back to the cabin. By the time they got there, Milly was fast asleep, so she carried her inside, took off her shoes and tucked her in. Sara was having a hard time sleeping or resting of any sort, she stayed up all night going through her old tabloids and cried herself to sleep, she woke up in the middle of the night screaming and she couldn't sleep again, she then went through the court preceding that showed that she only had rights to the company if she was married to Edward. How could that have been, she started the company way before she became a big shot, went to college pursued a fashion Major and came out top of her class, she admits that her relationship with Edward had given her a boost in social status but soft couture was her blood and wear. After her third attempt to sleep, she decided it may be best to hire someone to help her do some underground work, a personal detective, she knew until she had answers she'd never find rest.
