The doctor gave him a knowing, amused look. By the time I realized I should clarify, Ethan had already stood up. Grabbing my wrist with his uninjured hand, he pulled me out of the room. "We got the prescription and the stitches. Let's head back." I stumbled slightly as I kept up with his long strides, still feeling incredibly anxious. "Do you have any field operations coming up? Can you take some time off? Please, don't go out on any missions until your arm is fully healed. Just look at it as a vacation. If you keep moving it, the wound will never heal properly." Bombarded by my barrage of questions, Ethan didn't seem annoyed at all. Instead, he looked at me with an amused glint in his eyes and deadpanned, "If I don't work, how am I supposed to buy food? Are you going to support me?"
