MY BODY SHOOK, SHOOK, shook, making my stomach churn like crazy. Blinking, I fought against the stickiness bogging down my lashes, but fast winced at the pale light that bled through, my eyes sore and gritty even opened only to slits. “Dan.” A face blocked my view.
