36 Kyle stood staring downward in my periphery, his body gently swaying in tune with his breaths. Even with my restricted view, I could see the crimson spatters coating his upper body—blood that both concealed his scent and told me not a drop of it belonged to him. With my gaze locked to the side, I watched as he twisted away from where the female had landed and turned toward me—bringing the full force of his emotions into view.
