Chapter Ten: JUST SOME BREAK

The news of the dethroned executives, all went through the ears of everyone in the empire. The news to them, just ushered in a new era of changes. Changes that would definitely leave footprints in the entire history of the business empire, for generations.
No one expected this move. Even those who were arrested, didn't also expect this move. It was strange and decisive for everyone.
In the heat of all these, Sarah stood up from her executive office, after she might have done a series of thorough meetings with her new management officer. She visited all departments in the empire, fixing her hands backward like a strict old school principal, who wouldn't love to be toyed with by her students. She would relax herself on the window and doors of every hall she entered, trying to see and observe the work activities of her workers.
She wouldn't either listen or compliment greetings from her workers.
"What kind of dude is she?"
"Is she okay at all?"
"She is just a boss, who is probably looking for excuses to sack as many workers as she could" She overheard her workers commenting about her. But yet, she pretended like she didn't actually hear them, not giving a damn to whatever they thought about her.
On the other hand, her new management officers behaved also like her. It wasn't her fault, and it wasn't also their fault that they were behaving like that. It was just what was being mandated for them to do. After looking at the great task being given to her, she became strengthened through her previous marital relationship with Kenny, her ex-husband, where she vowed never to let him win Jonathan the billionaire whom he was stealing from.
Meanwhile, Sarah didn't spend much time in the empire today. She picked her bag and other important documents that she would still be using at home, got into the bullet proof car that was for the mean time given to her by Jonathan, and was driven by one of her security guards to home.
When she got home, she was shocked. Little did she know that her slightest actions could be heard from anywhere, and could also birth the worst repercussions, she met Jonathan's two sisters sitting in the parlor, along with Jonathan, as well.
She paused for a second while standing and looking at them. She has no knowledge of what was going on. Never before, has she seen them in this kind of manner.
She wanted to wave at them, when she heard a voice from behind her.
"We have been waiting for you to arrive all this while"She turned back, and saw that it was an elderly woman. She was confused. She has never seen her before, and doesn't even know who she is.
"Oh! Forgive my dearest friend. Good afternoon Sarah. I believe you had a great day today in the office?"The woman asked her.
Sarah rolled her eyes, to where Jonathan and two of his sister's were sitting, trying to communicate silently with him. But they smiled at her, refusing to let her know the latest update.
"Cool. It was great"Sarah replied.
The woman came close to her. Tapped her on the shoulder and said.
"Go and freshen up my dear. When you are done, kindly come and join us here in the parlor. We have an important discussion with you"She said.
Sarah nodded her head, and didn't give reads on her face. She walked away, and headed to the bathroom, where she cleaned up by herself. She puts on a nice dress, and in less than one hour, she was present in the parlor to honor the request of the eldest woman, whom she has previously talked with.
"So my dear, I believe your first day today at the office didn't stress you a bit?"The woman once again asked.
"I did my best actually,"Sarah replied.
They all turned their heads, looking at each other.
She still didn't know why they were on her in this manner. However, she just knew that there was something on strings, which they seriously wished to talk to her about.
"Ehmm. Today is just your first day going to the empire,and emm, you've just executed some arrest. We heard today from a reliable source, that you arrested Kenny, your ex-husband, along with every member of his management staff. In Fact, we even heard that you've inaugurated new management officers?"The elderly woman said, asking her.
"Yes, I did. What's the issue dear?"Sarah asked.
"Meanwhile, I would like to know who you are,"Sarah added.
"I am sorry my dear, for not introducing myself to you. I am Regina, the only surviving sister of the late Andrew, who happened to be Jonathan's dad"She informed.
"Alright, it's a pleasure meeting you, madam"Said Sarah.
She turned her head looking at Jonathan and his two sisters. She wondered why they weren't saying anything. The atmosphere was too dull for her. She definitely knows that something is going on. However, her intuition was speaking to her about them suspecting her of something. But she didn't make this known.
"I am sure you know that Jonathan was supposed to lose his late father's empire in a few days from now?"Regina asked her.
"Yes, I am aware"Replied, Sarah
"By demoting them from their previous positions, you just escalated the matter. Your strategies will not just cost us the empire, but all the housing estates and remaining money belonging to this family"Ragina informed her.
"I see!. Are there other things you would like to let me know about this information again?"Sarah asked.
Regina became quiet. Surprised in the way Sarah was still coordinating herself.
"Did you actually hear all that I have said?"Regina asked her.
"Yes, I did. What about that?"Sarah asked.
"I don't think you heard me clearly. If you do, you would know that we are currently in a big mess"Regina informed.
"No, we can't be in a big mess. Kenny and his likes, are the ones who just got themselves into a big mess. Just be patient, and don't fear. Leave the deal to me. I will seek everything out. I am determined to crush all of them,"Sarah highlighted.
Everyone was still looking at her.
Meanwhile, Regina was about to say something, when a knock was heard at the door.
Jonathan hurried close to the door side. He opened it, and ushered in Robert Michael, the lawyer in charge of the family's business empire.
