Layla smiled and humored him. "Of course. Blake always keeps his word!"
After buttering him up, she promised, "Don't worry. I won't spend the money for nothing. Once my divorce is finalized, I'll earn back every cent for you, with interest."
Blake smiled. "Not for me. For us. Don't forget, part of the company belongs to you too."
That was all the reassurance Layla needed.
The trip hadn't been wasted after all. She might have lost one thing, but she had gained another.
Back at Silvercrest, Layla began preparing for the divorce.
