Thallia left the plants in the greenhouse and headed inside. In less than two hours, Leon would be back. She caught herself smiling and blamed it on the prospect of dinner. Thallia tied back her hair and started the tart. The familiar motions were comforting. Chocolate melted into warm cream. Espresso deepened the flavor while she prepared the crust without needing a recipe. By the time the tart went into the refrigerator to set, the kitchen looked more lived in than it had that morning. Thallia checked the time. She still had more than an hour before she needed to get dressed. Her gaze drifted toward the hallway leading to the main bathroom. She hadn't tried the tub yet.
