ALTHOUGH MIKHAEL wanted to find Ethan immediately and tell him about his findings, he didn't do so. Instead, he continues to ask about this academy and found out even more ridiculous things.
For example, even though it's called an academy, it's really no different than government post office. Those who join aren't restricted with age, but older people are indeed a bit more valuable if they have knowledge. Over there, you could join a group or create one on your own — and you could earn mana crystals. Naturally, you had to use them to pay for things, but once Mikhael learned that he can earn mana crystals over there, any hesitation he originally had was gone.
After twenty more minutes of conversation with that woman, he finally left with an extra invitation in his hands. It was infused with mana, just like everything spell-casters used, and had that woman's name and few more words.
Mikhael didn't think much of it, but he did have an inkling about why this had her name.
"Copycats," he pursed his lips. Hunters worked the same way, if you could find someone and recommended it to the higher ups, you could naturally obtain some benefits. Not only Hunters, if vampires found someone with potential to be a Noble of Higher Noble, they could also get some benefits from this trade.
Mikhael didn't think much about this Academy anymore, especially when he realized that they might have used something his to become stronger.
No.
That wasn't what bothered him, actually.
'That place should be filthy rich, right?'
But because someone used his stuff to act like their founder, he obtained all those riches instead of Mikhael. Thinking about all those mana crystals Selena told him about and the simple way to earn them in that place.
"Really annoying," he was as angry, but he had no one to vent it out on. "I'll go bully that guy, it's not a ocean, but one can also drown in a pool, right?"
Mikhael was very clear on grudges. He even had a little notebook where he recorded every single time someone insulted him, be it a nasty comment about his skill or his appearance, Mikhael recorded everything.
For those who offended him more often, Mikhael even had a special booklets dedicated for their names solely — especially vampires and immortal humans.
'How long is their lifespan? How many times could they possibly offend him at this rate?'
It's better to be safe then sorry and save up some space for future offenses.
The biggest record for offenses belonged to the boss of Hunters, surprisingly stacking up to seven thick books. The vampire king is even better, he only has an empty book with his name and nothing else — but that's what makes it so scary.
Mikhael didn't list how that person offended him, because if he had to write his grudge with him, he might just go ahead and write an entire book! This booklet was meant for Mikhael to write in his revenge instead, and he made a mental note to add the slap into it. He was so focused on other things that he forgot about it all.
While thinking up to that point, Mikhael asked around and finally found the pool Ethan spoke about.
Although it's a pool, it's more of a public bath for men and women respectively. It even resembled those hot springs a bit.
Actually, the interior was filled with illusion spells so they created a scenery of an actual hit spring while the ceiling was modified to look like a night sky.
Mikhael sighed in admiration when he arrived.
Sure enough, it's good that he brought Ethan along — if he paid for the most common ticket, he might have been unable to see this.
...
Well, sneaking around doesn't count.
Mikhael originally thought that Ethan left after waiting for so long, but he was surprised that the other party was still there. Not only was he still there, but he was the only person around.
Mikhael realized, most people have just boarded the ship so they were still getting accommodated to this place. It's only the two of them who sought water after being on top of the ocean.
"How was it, any gains?" Before Mikhael even made his presence clear, Ethan had already sensed him behind him.
Mikhael rolled his eyes as he came with only a single towel and mask to hide his features.
"Can't even be sneaky because of you," he cursed as he came inside before sighing in content, "This is it. This is life!"
Ethan watched him swim around like a dog with amused smile, but said nothing. He also felt very tired after everything they experienced. It was only after he made two laps around the entire pool that Mikhael finally got bored and swam next to Ethan.
"I say, how did you know that I'm up to no good?" He raised his eyebrows and Ethan only messed up with his hair.
"Asking for time alone, it might be enough to trick a human, but you're whole body was reeking of plot and evils," Mikhael only felt like beating him up.
"Anyway," he didn't want to continue this conversation with the other party, "I found out something good."
"The woman from earlier?"
"..."
"What?"
"I just realized, but it's really annoying to have a smart partner," Mikhael indeed felt like that. It would've been more interesting to make Ethan guess and try to figure out the truth and then torture him while making him for more.
Really boring.
"Why? You can't do evils with me around?" He joked and Mikhael snorted before being scooped up by Ethan.
"How could something like that be enough to block me? At the very least, I'll just ask you to join me and go smash things together," Mikhael didn't fear plotting and creating mess, and having friends to help him out was even better.
"I'll definitely help out," he mused as he stared at the person in front of him, "I say, coming like this, aren't you afraid that I'll eat you up?"
"..."
Mikhael didn't understand, was he such a good person in this man's mind? Perhaps he didn't cause enough trouble in front of him, so the other party got an illusion that he's a nice kid.
"You should probably fear that I'll eat you up instead, but it doesn't matter — since I can't get it up, you can only continue to look but not touch."
"..."
Ethan seriously glanced down at Mikhael's waist with a pondering expression.
"It's fine, isn't it a wifely duty to take care of her husband? You can't get it up, but it's not a problem for me."
"..."
Mikhael felt that he has indeed been quite kind as of lately.
Thus, once he heard Ethan's words, all cordiality he had faded away like a thin air once again and he began to brawl with him like a mad dog.
Drown! Drown, you fucker! Who's a wife!?
"See if I don't curse you the get erectile dysfunction yourself!" It wasn't impossible. Spell-casters are people who played around with spells, but sometimes — their research can border than of witches. Although it sounds hard, spell-casters are actually capable of using curses as well — if they met necessary conditions.
In the end, Ethan won.
Mikhael got tired too easily once he gave up on using his abilities, but luckily the other party didn't intend to drown him like he did.
But just in case this chili pepper acted out again, Ethan held him tightly so Mikhael could only dejectedly stay still.
"I say, what kind of a trap you got yourself into?" It was Ethan who started another conversation, "How come you don't have even a single pubic hair on your body anymore? If someone saw us, won't I end up jail because of how you look like?"
"..." Mikhael could feel a vein on his forehead about to burst from rage.
"If I didn't do you already, I myself would think that you're still a brat — and you dare to say that you aren't a wife in this relationship?"
He snorted as Mikhael felt another vein appear on his forehead.
"You can come and complain to me again once you grow some hair," Ethan felt very good, finally being able to vent our all the pent up rage. Ever since he met this brat, his life was short of nothing but trouble! When was Pureblood bossed around like this? Nor even vampire king makes them work this much like this brat! Wherever he goes, he invokes some kind of calamity — Ethan feared that he won't even know how he died if he continued to stay by this person's side.
The worst is that this stupid human didn't even care about his own life!
Ethan felt like he'd worry himself to death because of Mikhael before someone was actually able to kill him!
Anyway, this peace didn't last for long either as the two started another round of dog fight that lasted for half an hour. It was only when they heard a scream and crashing noise that they stopped.
Rising his head, Mikhael sweated when he saw that they managed to spread the water to entire floor and someone who came finally slipped and fell down.
"We should run," Mikhael suddenly buried his whole grudge and focused on how to escape. Coincidentally, Ethan also had the same thought as him.
"Indeed," the ship provided them with clothes to wear after the bath. The two, one a Pureblood and another a half-blood, abused their power once again to do evil a and get away unnoticed.
How could someone find them if they really wanted to sneak out?
Thus, the grudge from earlier got delayed once again as they returned to their room and Mikhael jumped on the bed before claiming it for himself. Anyway, Ethan didn't need to sleep.
"You... You just slept this night," Ethan felt at loss. Do humans sleep this much?
"Night is time for sleep. Day is time for naps. I had slept last night, but I still haven't taken a nap," Mikhael spoke with justice in his voice.
"..."
No. Humans don't sleep so much, it's quite likely that this is a special situation regarding his own human.
Suddenly, Ethan became enlightened.
He finally realized what this situation resembled.
"Anyway," Mikhael say up, "I think I got a clue regarding the missing piece of that Armament Set."
"Yes, its in the Neo Academy," Ethan replied.
"Right, it's in..."
"..."
"Why do you know that?"
"If I didn't know that, should I wait for you to find out about it and tell me?" Ethan sneered. i***t, he found an i***t!
"There's a reason why we couldn't get that bastard all this time," Ethan began, "Neo Academy is our enemy, but how could a mere human be able to escape the wrath of Purebloods just like that?"
"You mean to say..." Ethan pressed his finger on Mikhael's lips.
"Some things can't be said, silky human," he added,"But for certain reasons, we are unable to act against them right now. That person would naturally hide in the safest place from us, so we don't know his movement. In fact, humans that go to and fro Neo Academy don't even know how their founder looks like, forget about knowing his whereabouts."
"But can't a Pureblood just stroll inside and..."
"Can't. We can't come close to that place," Mikhael frowned.
"On that note, I forgot to ask, but where is that Neo Academy located exactly for even Purebloods to be unable to touch it?"
"Vatican."
Fuck!
"I say, that founder doesn't happen to be on friendly relationship with the pope? Maybe his adopted brother or something?"
"..."
This is a problem.
Others might not know, but Mikhael as a spell-caster was well aware about complications that involved Vatican.
That place wasn't chosen on a whim to build the smallest independent country, one could even say that that Vatican itself is enormous fortress made of countless Armaments — or to be more precise, an AV weapon.
So even if a Pureblood was to go to that city, they couldn't get away unscathed, forget about finding someone to kill him.
But more than that, Mikhael seriously didn't like that place.
'Forget it, it's for the sake of peace.'
He is also going there as a spell-caster, they won't... Recognize him, anyway.
Probably.
