Chapter 6: The Appearance of Yasha

1094 Words
The seal on Feng Wuxie’s palm radiated a warm energy, flowing through her body along the lightning-shaped pattern. From her palm to her arm, from her arm to her chest, and from her chest throughout her entire body—soon, Feng Wuxie felt a profound sense of clarity and comfort. When she opened her eyes, she was astonished. The shabby room she had been in was gone, replaced by a majestic ancient tower that soared far into the clouds, its true height impossible to gauge. “Do you see that? This ancient tower is the energy space within your seal. It contains countless magical artifacts and martial arts secrets. If you can overcome your useless body, this place will transform you completely!” Yasha’s voice echoed with a hint of mockery. “Is it really that amazing?” Feng Wuxie marveled, looking up in awe. “Don’t get your hopes up!” The voice returned, with even more derision. “The seal on your hand can appear and disappear. This space has its own spirit and selection criteria. You’ve encountered it, but you’re not yet qualified to enter! Right now, as a useless person, you can only linger outside the door, lacking the strength to even push it open!” “What the heck!” Feng Wuxie couldn’t help but curse. “Then why did you bring me here? Are you just toying with me?” The man scoffed disdainfully. “I’m here to remind you that there is a seal within you that is causing your soul power to dissipate. Once you remove the seal, your soul power will return, and you’ll be able to cultivate into a soul master, no longer a waste. Once you become a soul master, you’ll gain initial eligibility to open the door to this space. However, just having eligibility is not enough. There are countless doors within this space, each with its own level. Only by continually improving yourself can you open more doors, access more rooms, and obtain more resources.” “What about my handgun?” Feng Wuxie asked. The man replied, “The handgun is in the third level of the space, which means it is in my possession. Previously, due to the instability of the space’s energy, you accidentally took it with you. Now, you can’t summon the weapon until your cultivation level increases.” Feng Wuxie did not waste time with further questions and directly asked, “How can I remove this damned seal? Will this space remain here, waiting for me to become a soul master and open the door? It won’t disappear, will it?” “You have an idealistic view,” the voice said. “This space has only one month left before it vanishes. If you cannot open the space’s door within a month, it will disappear.” Feng Wuxie suddenly felt like she had boarded a sinking ship. Only one month to restore her soul power, break the seal, become a soul master, and open the door to the space seemed like an impossible task. She was still confused about what kind of world she had entered. The voice’s owner seemed to read her thoughts and spoke reassuringly, “Don’t worry too much. I will help you throughout this month.” Upon hearing this, Feng Wuxie’s spirits lifted. She then thought of something and smiled coldly, asking, “You sound so pleasant. What’s the catch?” “Smart of you,” he said. “The condition is simple. I’ll guide you, and you’ll help me hunt evil spirits. I need to consume the souls of thirty thousand evil spirits to restore my primordial spirit. Only after restoring my primordial spirit can I leave this space. As for what evil spirits are, I’ll tell you as you encounter them.” Feng Wuxie looked up at the towering structure, a bright and determined smile spreading across her face. She said, “Deal.” With the deal struck, Feng Wuxie asked, “We’ll be seeing each other frequently. What should I call you?” The man replied, “I’ve lived so long that I’ve forgotten my name…” “So what exactly are you? A human or a ghost?” Feng Wuxie asked. After encountering so many bizarre things, she wasn’t surprised by the idea of a ghost. “I’m neither human nor ghost. I am merely knowledgeable about human language. My true form is a raven that has been sleeping in this space for ten thousand years, guarding this ancient tower.” He added with emphasis, “I am male.” “Pfft! I can tell you’re male from your voice!” Feng Wuxie laughed. “Have you really forgotten your name after sleeping for ten thousand years?” She was joking, but to her surprise, he seemed a bit embarrassed, responding with a soft “Hmm.” “Then I’ll give you a name. Otherwise, calling you just ‘raven’ might not be ideal,” Feng Wuxie said, contemplating. Finally, she suggested, “How about Yasha? There’s a phrase from my world: ‘to kill all the ravens in the three thousand worlds,’ meaning to eliminate darkness. I really like that phrase, even if it’s a bit unlucky for you, haha.” “Whatever. I don’t care about names,” he said dismissively. “Then Yasha it is! Hey, Yasha, could you show me what you look like?” Feng Wuxie asked. She was curious to see what a talking raven that had lived for ten thousand years might look like. “No need to see. I’m very handsome, the most handsome raven in the world,” Yasha said flatly. “…” Feng Wuxie was taken aback and speechless. She thought to herself that Yasha was indeed an arrogant and narcissistic character! Feng Wuxie focused her mind, slowly withdrawing from the space. Before leaving, she couldn’t resist a final comment: “If you’re not going to show yourself, fine. I’ve seen ravens before!” With that, she turned and gradually disappeared from view. In the realm of illusion, the man transformed from a raven stood overlooking Feng Wuxie’s fading figure—his dark robe fluttering in the wind, long black hair cascading like a waterfall, and his crimson eyes glowing with a sinister light. His enormous, shadow-casting black wings gave off an ominous and majestic aura. His face was strikingly handsome, yet cold and bloodthirsty, resembling a demonic figure from hell—a primordial beast awakened after ten thousand years. Unfortunately, Feng Wuxie did not see this.
