“I finally revealed myself to Jirani.” Zaiyon writes on the note quickly before any other elder or person passing by catches him.
He’s been doing this for the past 40+ years, gathering intel and sending secret notes to the leader of Orion and now his son who is soon to take over.
Since Jirani’s birth, Zaiyon and Adonis have been discussing her and their plans for her. Zaiyon always had hope that she wouldn’t follow her father’s path, so he continuously attempted to convince Adonis that he could convince her to help them.
One couldn’t imagine the excitement and pride he felt after watching Jirani for a while and realizing that this is the reality of the situation.
Both Adonis and Leonidas have firm faith in Jirani and her ability to stop her father. Her alliance is very valuable to them.
“I’m getting closer to informing her about her mother in Runalia, and of her brother. Til then, I’m informing her about the history of Ademian creatures.” He adds on.
“Can you believe this man hasn’t taught his daughter a single thing about any Ademian bloodline? He’s only had her in this palace this entire time learning to fight and assassinate and attending military meetings?” He asks.
“We shall be on our way in a month or so without any drastic assistance.”
“Elder Zaiyon?” One of the elders pokes their head in the doorway of the room he’s in, catching his attention. He plays it off as if he’s not writing anything important, keeping all suspicion at bay.
“Sir Rex is requesting your presence.” He tells me. “Very well.” He folds the note into his pocket and stands up from his seat.
Rex is waiting outside in the hallway. Once he sees the elder, he stands up straighter. “I would like to speak to you…about my wife.”
“Oh?”
Meanwhile back at the main wing of the palace, Jirani sits in a corner of her room relentlessly pouring through the books recommended by Zaiyon.
The more she learns, the more she realizes how ignorant she truly is. She doesn’t have a clue about the world she lives in, and she’s just been thrown into a world so deep and detailed she doesn’t even know where to begin.
She sighs heavily as she closes the book about the basic Ademian history. It’s a lot to take in.
Once upon a time, there was one great beast. They were known as “The Ademian.”
Out of pure loneliness, they created 5 other creatures and their bloodlines with the idea of spreading their bloodline across the Earth.
Qevori was the first beast they created, and was the most trusted and powerful beast created by The Ademian. He was very calm and collected, but a force to be reckoned with. From him came the Qevorian bloodline.
Yemi was the second beast they created. He was the second most trusted and powerful of the sub-Ademian species. From him came the Yemian bloodline.
Rune was the third beast they created. She played a very important and different role than the others. She was closer with the original Ademian than the others. From her came the Runerian bloodline.
Then there were the twin species they created, Bremi and Kaezori. So they weren’t as powerful as the others, they still played a very important role in supporting the original Ademian. From them came the Bremian and Kaezorian bloodlines.
Though the book ended there, she knows there is still much more to learn. She carefully talks the book underneath her bed and moves onto the next one.
As she opens the book, she notices on the first page that there is a timeline on the front page.
The beginning—the vacant era—the period of life—the betrayal—the holy war—the depression—the upset—the quiet era.
She stares at this timeline in confusion, knowing nothing about these time periods and important historical dates.
“What are these?” She asks aloud. All of the dates belonging to these periods are long past, except for the quiet century.
It began 90 years ago, and has a question mark regarding the end date. By this information, Jirani concludes that the current time period is the quiet century.
Centuries typically last about 100 years, so she wonders what the next century will be nicknamed as and why.
Just as her thoughts seem to come to some sort of pause, there’s a knock at the door. She opens it to reveal Zaiyon to her surprise.
“Why are you here? Is something wrong?” She asks him, hurrying to let him inside before someone sees. She locks the door behind her.
“Your husband to be…he’s been paying attention to the two of us. We need to be more careful. We need to come up with an escape plan for you immediately.” He tells her.
“I’ve been informing the king of Orion and his son about you for years now. They know exactly who you are and they’re waiting and ready to assist in anyway possible.” He explains to her.
She nods her head. “I am ready.” “Good. Until then, I think we should start meeting in here at night. I’ll go to the library and retrieve and return all the books you need.”
“That’s actually a very good idea. I’ve already finished all but one of the books you have given me.” She informs him. His eyebrows raise in surprise.
“Astounding. Do you have any questions about the material you read?” He asks her. “Actually, I do. There’s this timeline in the last book I’m finishing that I’m curious about. The one about my mother’s bloodline.” She replies to him.
“We are currently in the quiet century, right?” She asks. “That is correct.” He replies with a swift head nod.
“I’ll try to find material on that for you. Anything else specific?” “I would like to have specific books about the two southern nations Orion and Runalia.” She replies.
“Very well. I shall see you tonight.”
