The next morning, Maia woke up with Axel wrapped around her. It was hot and the air in the room felt overly stuffy. She shifted slightly, trying to get some air in between their heated bodies, but his arms held her so tightly that she could barely move an inch. After the emotional roller coaster, they went back to their usual selves. Although she was constantly vary of him, Maia could see that he tried hard to cheer her up and gain back some of her usual shine.
