Sometime in the early morning, Maia woke up draped in blankets and snuggling into the pillows that supported her head. Sky was sleeping right next to her, only her breathing audible through the deafening silence in the apartment. Axel was no where to be seen. He must have left when she fell asleep. Her whole body was aching, cheek bruised and lip split, pulsing with slight pain and stinging sensations. Her ribs were even worse, but luckily nothing seemed to be broken.
