Maia watched the street from the window in the kitchen, holding a cup of coffee in her delicate hands. She stared at the rarely passing, fancy, expensive cars and the two or three people that came out to their lawns for a fresh breath of air. She noticed that these people take advantage of their vehicles, only ever stepping foot outside in order to step back inside their car.
