Maia sighed in relief and slumped against the softness of the couch. The bath really helped her sore muscles and soothed the numb pain in her crotch. Axel was next to her, replying to email and doing his paperwork, while she decided to watch something on her laptop. There wasn’t much that needed to be done, so she wanted to take it easy.
In truth, she was thinking of what to do tomorrow. If she sneaks out again, she was sure that this time, he was not going to forgive her so easily. He was going to be angry and she didn’t want to ruin the mood in their relationship just like that. So sneaking away without a word wasn’t an option. But…if she leaves a small note and breakfast on the counter, he just might close an eye and be a little more lenient about it.
