Ravyn “Twelve minutes remaining until facility destruction.” The computerized countdown continued as they raced through corridors that groaned with structural damage. Ravyn supported one of the pregnant women while Grayson and Kane carefully maneuvered Hope’s portable incubator through the debris-filled passages. The emergency lighting cast everything in amber shadows, making the facility feel like a dying machine finally shutting down. “How much further?” Dr. Kellner asked, monitoring Hope’s vital signs while they moved. The baby was stable, but the stress of rapid transport through a collapsing facility was taking its toll on her premature system. “Main elevator bank is just ahead,” Laurent reported from his position as advance scout. “But I’m reading structural damage to the shaft.”
