Ravyn Ravyn felt Grayson’s alarm through the mate bond before she heard his footsteps racing down the medical wing corridor. She was sitting up in bed, reviewing pregnancy journals Dr. Martinez had recommended, when he burst through the door with an expression that made her heart skip. “What’s wrong?” she asked immediately, setting aside her reading. “Your father,” Grayson said, moving to her side. “He’s gone.” “Gone where?” But even as she asked, Ravyn felt a strange certainty in her chest—not panic, but something else.
