Save Me- Lex -Shower after Running

1289 Words
We sit in silence drinking tea and looking at each other. After a few moments, he says, “Never.” “Never, what?” “She’s never given me head.” My mouth opens and surprise. “Like never, never?” He shakes his head no, but it won’t look at me anymore. “How long have you been together?” “Like two years.” “That’s a long time to go without getting head,” I pause, “But you guys have s*x, right?” “Why are we talking about this?” He asks. “When was the last time that you had s*x?” He shrugs. “You don’t remember? You are a guy! How do you not remember?” “I’m so used to not getting it that it just doesn’t matter, I guess.” “Oh Bryan.” “I’m okay with it,” he says. “You know that’s not normal, right?” Ok smartass, when was the last time that you had s*x then?” ‘Like a month or so ago?” “Do you have a boyfriend?” he asks. “No, not right now.” His face looks puzzled. “Bryan, you don’t have to be with someone exclusively to have sex.” I roll my eyes at him. “I don’t sleep around. But this guy I know came in the town. We had a nice time and had s*x. It’s no big deal.” “You don’t love him?” “No way!” I grimace. “Do you love her?” “Yeah, I guess so. We’ve been together for such a long time. She wants to get married.” “Do you?” “I don’t know.” “Which means no.” “Does that make me an ass?” “It does if you stay with her and don’t love her and lead her on.” He nods. “Hey Bryan,” I pause, “I give really good head.” I smirk and take a drink of tea. He groans and closes his eyes, leaning his head back against the pillow while I laugh at him. I finish my tea and say, “It’s early yet and I’m sleepy. I’m going back to bed.” “Do you want me to leave?” “You don’t have to leave, you can stay here. Unless you want to go?” I get up and put my mug in the kitchen. When I come back, he is sitting on the edge of the couch. “Are you staying?” “You don’t mind?” “No. But I would like to sleep in my own bed.” He winces, “I’m sorry about that. I was really tired.” “I know.” I walk over and make sure that the front door is locked, then walked back over and stand in front of him, holding out my hand. “Let’s go,” I smile. He raises his eyebrows. “Sleep, silly. I’m not offering sex.” Yet. “You don’t mind?” He asks again. I shake my head no. “I promise that I won’t try anything.” He takes my hand and sets his mug down, standing up. He grabs my pillow off the couch. “I know, Bry. I’m just tired let’s go to sleep.” I lead him to my bedroom and leave the door open. We both climbed into bed and pull the covers up. We roll over to face each other and smile. “Lex?” “Yeah?” “I’m glad that I met you yesterday,” he smiles. “Me too, Bry,” I reach out and touch his cheek. “Me too.” He closes his eyes and I close mine. The last thing that I remember is Bryan saying good night and touching my bottom lip with his finger. ~~~ I open my eyes to a bright light in my bedroom and a man’s arm around my waist. I lay in bed for a few minutes wondering what it would be like to wake up every morning with Bryan. I gently roll over but he doesn’t move his arm, it stays around my waist. I study his face and hair. He’s so beautiful. And I’m a fool to think that I can hold on to someone like him. We are too different. I reach out and gently stroke his cheek. His eyes don’t open, but a little smile forms on his lips. If we were dating, I’d give him a wakeup call. I smile at what kind of reaction I would get from him if he woke up and found my mouth on him. Before I decide to act on it, I rollover and lift myself out of bed. I quickly change into my running clothes and grab my Saucony’s. After brushing my teeth, I place a post-it note on the bathroom mirror. “Running.” I pull my hair into a ponytail, grab my key and literally hit the pavement running. Thirty minutes later, when I’ve completed my run, I stretch out at the side of the building. Apparently, I had a lot of angst built up and I needed the release. I take off my shirt and quickly climb to the second floor. I open my apartment door to hear whistling. I step inside and smile because he’s in my kitchen making coffee. “Good morning,” I say. He turns around and his eyebrows shoot up as his gaze lands on my revealed sports bra. His eyes find mine and I see a blush forming on his cheeks. “Good morning,” he says. ‘Breakfast?” he asks turning back around. “Sounds good. I’m going to go take a shower.” “Ok,” He says, turning to face me. I head across the living room, but something tells me to turn around before going into the hallway, so I do. Bryan’s face blushes as I catch him watching me walk away. Nice. “Hey, what are you making for breakfast anyhow?” “What do you want?” I smirk, “Eggs will do… for now.” “Scrambled?” he asks. “Ok.” I toe off my Saucony’s and pull my socks off. I look up after I pick up my shoes off of the floor to find that he is still watching me. “Toast?” I ask “I’m on it,” He quickly turns around and I head into the bathroom. After scrubbing the sweat off of my body I shut off the water and pull back the curtain only to realize that I forgot my towel and there’s nothing in here that I can dry off with. I close my eyes and call Bryan’s name. “Are you okay?” I hear from the other side of the door. “Yes, but it appears that I don’t have a towel. Can you grab one from the hallway closet please?” “Um…ok.” A moment later, I quickly pull the shower curtain over to cover up my body. I hear the door open and I see the towel, but I don’t see him. “Can you get it?” He asks. “No. Can you throw it over here, please?” “Are you decent?” “I’m covered up.” He peeks his head around the door and I see that his face is flaming red. “Are you okay?” “Yeah, why?” “Your face is bright red,” I smile at him. “No, it’s not.” he says, but walks over to the mirror.
