Riley’s POV
I walked back into my office after finally leaving Grandma and Michael’s floor. It had taken a bit of coaxing to slip away, since Grandma was reluctant to let me go. I promised her I would visit soon, and only then did she release me with a smile.
My mind also clicked to Aria as I stepped onto the PR floor. I noticed she wasn’t her usual self today. There was something clipped about her movements, her voice almost sharp when she spoke to Michael earlier. Maybe it was nothing serious. We women have days like that, when our moods shifts like wind, often without reason. I brushed it off with that thought, though the coldness in her eyes stayed with me longer than I expected.
