Audrey's P.O.V.
I sped off after we all had our potions in search of some food. Edith had gone camping with dad a few times. And although they were never allowed to go far from the castle, Edith was quite skilled in surviving so I knew she'd have a fire set up when I got back.
Knowing they were hungry and there was no town nearby I needed to catch a meal big enough for the three of us. I'm glad it was mid June or else they'd be pretty cold at night with those thin blankets Edith pulled out of her napsack.
I shook my head clearing my mind of distracting thoughts and focused on hunting. I sniffed the air and caught a few rogue smells. One was oddly mixed with my uncle Alexander's scent.
What would he have been doing way out here with a rogue? In any case the scents were old and faded. I kept smelling until I caught the smell of a stag.
Dad always said it wasn't fair to hunt does and fawns. But not only did I catch the stag's scent but also a doe and two fawns. I felt bad but we needed to eat and a mother, a true mother anyway, would always care for her young with or without a male’s help.
I didn't need to worry about being downwind of them thanks to the potion masking my scent. I cautiously and quietly approached the family. They seemed oblivious to me but I could tell the mother was keeping a close eye on her fawns.
I circled around to the stag so the family wouldn't be in my way. As I crouched low I accidently snapped a twip. Mentally cursing myself for such a rookie mistake I pounced before they could make a break for it.
With my jaws clamped firmly over the stag's mouth and my claws deep in his throat I quickly cut off his breathing. Once I was sure my meal was dead I looked around eerily feeling like I was being watched.
I only smelled faint scents of wolves that had passed through before probably hunting for their own meals and fresh prey scents as well as my own kill. Shrugging off the feeling I proceeded to drag my prey to the cave my sisters were in.
"Audey do we have to travel when it's so dawk?" Erma asked when she saw me coming.
I sighed and linked her that if she wanted I would do a perimeter sweep while they ate and if there were no seeable dangers we would stay here until dawn, then we were leaving. Edith was already asking Erma if she wanted to help prepare the food when I turned to leave.
"EWWWWW! That's gross, no way I'm skinning anything," Erma declined in a rather childish way that made my wolf grin.
I quickly searched the area around the cave not seeing or smelling anything but still feeling like I was being watched.
"I don't like this one bit," I growled to myself before turning to go back to the cave.
I saw Edith only cooked enough meat for her and Erma and left the rest of the deer untampered with for me to eat. I nodded her my thanks and dug in.
Erma finished eating first and started laying out her blanket and a small pillow and proceeded to wrap the blanket over her like she was a burrito. Edith waited until I was done eating to go to bed.
I went and curled beside Erma with an unladylike burp. This made Erma giggle as she laid against my side and pulled her blanket up to keep warm against the light chill in the cave. I rested myself well but couldn't sleep long. Not when I felt like I was being watched every second.

Nicholas Stone's P.O.V
All my life I've known I have no mate and have given up on ever finding her. The moon goddess told me on my 21st birthday that my mate still did not exist and even when she did I would not know until it was time for us to meet.
Three nights ago the moon goddess told me my mate was ready for me but did not know it yet. That she and her sisters were in danger from their mother and I had to protect them at all cost. She instructed me to go into the matriarch's territory once more, that my mate would be there.
For a while I pondered this, choosing to not believe it until an old man in the human town convinced me to listen and listen well to the moon goddess.
Let me explain further the human town my rogue family and friends reside in is not in any pack territory so as long as any rogue obeys the human laws and keeps peace with them we may stay there and prosper.
Mr. Tyler Thatcher is a good friend of the neighboring pack, the Kingston Pack, and all the rogues living in the town. He is a kind and wise old man and the only human I would go to for advice and heed his words.
After speaking with him I wasted no time in getting to the Matriarch's territory to find and protect my mate. It didn't take me long to enter her territory.
I stayed in the middle between her castle and territory borders and waited and waited and waited. I had to be patient but it was killing me to wait. I had already waited 18 years to find her and now I knew she was on her way to me.
Just as I was about to give up I had seen the most beautiful she-wolf I'd ever seen carrying two young girls on her back. That must be her, it had to be, but why could I not smell her?
It is for her own protection that she and her sisters have no scent. Do not go to her yet she will be wary of strangers and will viciously protect her sisters. Watch from afar until the time is right. The moon goddess whispered in the back of my mind.
"So it is her," I whispered under my breath. She was absolutely stunning. She had jet black fur with grey markings and strangely a grey diamond over her right eye.
I quietly followed her until she stopped at a cave. She seemed exhausted. I so badly wanted to go to her, to comfort her, to protect her. But I needed to wait. She wasn't ready for me yet.
She seemed to be mindlinking with the eldest girl. Then they all drank some weird pink colored drink and she set off into the forest. I wanted to follow her but I must protect her sisters as well.
But if something happens to her then I'll lose her and so will her sisters. As I was arguing with myself about what to do, her sister lit a fire and took out some knives. Well she seems prepared.
I took off quietly to follow my mate. Oh I wish I knew her name. I watched her hunt doing my best to not join in with her. She skillfully took the deer down and as soon as she did she glanced around in my direction.
She had smart instincts she knew she was being watched, my little minx I couldn't wait to meet her. I followed her back to the cave. Instead of feasting with her sisters she searched the perimeter wisely.
Even searching the area for any dangers she felt my eyes on her every move. She went back and ate with her sisters before falling asleep. As much as I enjoyed watching her sleep I wanted to sweep the perimeter again just to ensure they could maneuver through safely in the morning.
