“Wow honey, you look.... Just wow!” Marquez gushed as he spun the tall, leather chair to face the mirror. My jaw dropped when I saw myself - gone was the frizzy mess of long, brown hair, replaced by deep, dark brown, shiny, perfectly waved locks. All the signs of yesterday's’ upset - the puffiness from crying, the dark bags under my eyes - were gone. I barely recognised the person staring back at me. My eyelashes had been extended and curled, my eyebrows were on point, the foundation and contouring was flawless and the make up - glossy neutral lips, bronze cheek bones and a smoky gold and light brown eyeshadow with a classy flick of black liner - it was incredible! “Wow. Thank you both. I... I'm speechless.” Marquez and Julie - the beautician - beamed at me. “Now for the best part!”
