Kail lay in his bed, absorbed in his own thoughts. Since he arrived in his chambers, he realized two things. One, his desk was gone completely, broken furniture had no place in anyone’s room he supposed. Two, he would never be good enough for his father. As time progressed though he placed no more concern over his father’s love for him. Bora was still sitting in the hall, but he had only heard silence since the sun dropped behind the mountains past the forest. The room was lit only by the fire that he started, the slaves had not been notified that Kail had returned. His stomach rumbled heavily as he watched the light dance on the ceiling.
