CHAPTER SIX “So, you broke the law and bonded with this Carina?” a sleepy Kail asked. “Yes, and that’s why I need your help.” “The child that you were speaking of, it’s yours and Carina’s? Do you think that Carina was the woman in that dream, with the bloody bundle?” Kail asked. Claskan considered only slightly. “I hope not.” His answer wasn’t full of confidence, but Kail proved he fully understood the story, at least to that point. “You think Torrance is the cause of my father’s hatred toward me and everyone else?” Kail asked Claskan. “I think…” Claskan began, studying Kail’s reaction to his story “that you’ve missed the point of me telling you all of this.” Claskan bowed his head. Hours passed as he told his tale and the boy only seemed to care about the way this story affected him
