CHAPTER SEVENTEEN
Claskan woke that morning alone. A day, that was all he would give him, anymore and he would risk losing Carina. The biggest problem was that he wanted to leave, too much heartache lived at the heart of this land.
He once again lost his family to the tyranny of another dragon. His heart ached as he looked around the burnt and broken remains of his home. His family on Stelladahn were born and bred soldiers and their loss, though sad, was expected. It was tradition in his family to mourn them before they even left for their first battle, making the eventuality less painful. Carina’s parents, Paolo, they had one job, survive. Claskan failed them.
