CHAPTER TWELVE Kail coughed deeply, his eyes fluttering open. The sudden coughing rose Claskan from his deep slumber at the boy’s bedside. Both looked around the tent, and then at each other as they became aware of their surroundings. Claskan’s mind settled on the fact that he was no longer heading to Zradon for the first time. His dreams were vivid as he recalled the necessary incarceration of the day before. Dego would eventually pay for his crimes. “What happened?” The scruffy voiced boy asked. “You fought off a crazed dragon named Dego and lived to tell the tale.” Kail thought about the fight, the images of Dego attacking him ran through his mind and he started crying.
