"That bad, huh?" Lucy said, swinging down from the saddle and giving each leg a much needed stretch before walking Dee in the direction of Owen and Belle. "She's a great ride and calm as ever, but boy does that trot try to launch you like a projectile," Owen laughed. "Agreed," Belle replied, "Cassie is a tough no-stirrup ride, but you did a great job with her." Cassie—a stocky, palomino pony—was actually a horse that Lucy had never ridden in lessons before. But she had worked with the mare many times during her shift at the barn.
