Chapter Thirteen
After actually getting the chance to talk with Elise on that Tuesday night earlier in the week, Lucy truly did feel much better. She hadn't seen the senior at all the next day, but Elise had made a point to reach out to her by text, letting Lucy know that there was still no word on the uncertain matter surrounding Legacy. And in all honestly, the redhead wasn't surprised. Knowing what she did of Elise's family dynamic based on what the senior had told her, Lucy would have been inclined to assume that Elise's parents were likely going to continue to be entirely closed off about it until they chose to discuss their final answer, anyway.
And whether or not Elise would dare to ask them before they approached her about it...that was yet to be seen.
