Chapter Four
"Okay. Okay. I've got this," Lucy said aloud, causing the large paint horse she'd been assigned to for the show to swivel his head around to look at her, as if pointedly accusing Lucy of forgetting him. Lucy laughed, and patted the horse's neck from where she was sitting in the saddle, "My apologies, Cappy. We've got this."
The horse's full name was Cappuccino, but Lucy had quickly taken to calling him by the nickname the rest of the students at the barn had given him. And Cappy, much to Lucy's surprise and relief, actually seemed fairly unfazed by the amount of commotion during the show. For once, it seemed, she had a calm horse to compete with.
