Chapter 5
“Is there something you want to watch?” Jake asked. We were now sitting on the long sofa facing the television. Jake was to my left with the remote control, and Kevin was to my right.
“Nothing really,” I said with little interest. I was more concerned with finding a comfortable spot. Kevin noticed my struggle.
“Is it your leg again?”
I shook my head. “Not cramps. I think I need to lie down, but I don't want to sleep yet,” I said, shifting in my seat.
“I agree with that. You need to digest your food properly before going to sleep.” Jake had that professional look on his face before he added, “How about you rest your head here?”
“Where?” I asked. He was pointing at his thighs, and honestly speaking, I’d considered it as well. I just didn't think he'd actually ask.
