Palmer looked around nervously as he followed Sofia up onto the porch. "Are you sure they want me here?" He asked.
"Yes, Palmer. For the fifth time, my parents want to see you." Sofia answered patiently. "Why are you so nervous? They've always liked you."
"I don't know, it just seems so sudden. I mean, all I am is Bailey's... protectee?"
Sofia snorted, turning to look at him. "Protectee?"
"You know what I mean." He replied, trying not to blush. "Bailey is my bodyguard. Or was. I'm not sure if he's still needed or not now that Lewys has been taken care of."
"Seems to me that there's more to your relationship than that."
