"you're threatening me!?"
"you threatened me first, i just turned things around," dominic replied, rolling his eyes, "now can i go?"
"no!" eva shouted with rage, "you're not going anywhere until you agree to reject the proposals of your equally asshole parents!"
"don't talk s**t about my parents," dominic warned sharply.
"or what?" eva defiantly isn't afraid, "you're going to threaten me again? huh!? you're going to kill me!? just like you would to our baby!"
"eva..." dominic was at a loss for words seeing him lose control of attacking his chest incessantly, "stop it."
"if you still agree with your parents, it's better to just kill me, dominic miller!!!"
"eva ..." dominic tried to calm him who was breaking down. he felt a little scared and worried he took a step that far, "hey. stop it."
"no! i won't stop until you agree!!!" eva screamed again before a few seconds later she felt something wet around her inner thigh, "dominic..."
"what?"
"my water broke...help."
"holy s**t!"

duagh!
"arsenio, stop it!" cindy screamed while holding her from behind to stop fighting with dominic.
"let me, cindy. let me give the student to this bast*rd one!" arsenio refuses to make peace this time, he is sick of seeing dominic's face who feels innocent for what happened to eva, "i will not forgive you if anything happens to eva, miller!"
"hahaha ..." dominic laughed sarcastically, spitting on the hospital floor mixed with blood, "you made it this far, are you in love with eva?"
"there's a thing called friendship," arsenio replied sharply. he remembered something that made him laugh blankly, "ah, how did i forget? you don't have any friends. of course you can't feel them."
"friendship is just an illusion, in the end you are alone." dominic gives his opinion on 'friendship' from his point of view, "you rely solely on your childish emotions. i wouldn't be surprised if you ended up on the street begging for money."
"i don't care what you think of me, for me now eva's safety is most important. and if anything happens, i won't forgive you!" arsenio repeated his threat, "maybe i will visit sofia and arlyne. how about that?"
"arsenio, enough. we're in the hospital," cindy warned giving him a glare then dominic too, "including you, miller."
"always using this low-key way is an arsenio," dominic shook his head in disbelief, "before doing that it's better to find out first. how did i change my mind and decided to support eva."
both arsenio and cindy are shocked to hear that. for almost nine months they had been persuading to no avail, and now dominic has suddenly changed his mind? what actually happened while they weren't around?
"serious?" arsenio doesn't believe it yet. too good to be true. his confidence is minus one hundred when it comes to dominic.
"you believe it or not is none of my business. now stop acting immature and let me wait for eva to wake up with cindy."
arsenio and cindy exchanged glances with each other, is it okay to let dominic stay in the hospital. even though they hate him, the daughter eva gave birth to is dominic's too.
"okay. you can," cindy gave permission, "but i won't hesitate to you if i see even a speck of you doing weird things."
"i won't, cindy." dominic said, as proof, he sat back down in the waiting chair with his arms folded across his chest.
"arsenic?"
"i need some fresh air. i'll go crazy if i stay in the same room with him any longer."
"be careful, okay?"
arsenio only gave a tiny smile before disappearing from the corner of the long hallway.

flashback off
***
"so ... in the end dominic is responsible?" sofia concluded from the story she heard.
"dominic realized how important skylar was when watching me give birth. he wanted to accompany me because i asked him to," eva explained calmly, a little funny because during the process, she whimpered in pain because he was holding her hand so tightly as if intending to destroy it, "or it could be because the doctor suppress him."
"i see..." sofia couldn't imagine how chaotic that day was, "dominic is still in touch with you until now?"
"not really." eva replied simply, "he was right to say he would take responsibility, he meant to help me defend skylar instead."
"he's never seen skylar at all?"
it's a shame skylar doesn't get the love of his father.
eva shook her head which made sofia's anger rise again.
while sofia believes dominic can turn into a good man, he—as usual, always finds a way to drop his hopes.
"but yesterday he called me, intending to see us."
yesterday?
is it possible that the argument with arsenio yesterday made dominic change his mind?
"dominic has not met skylar in person, but for three months he always sends money to her," eva said, "his actions have been negative, there are positive. most importantly, i hope you can choose the right man, sofia." he ended his story by drinking his tea, "arsenio good man, i hope you end waiting for him, whatever your answer will be."
arsenic...
"you fell in love with arsenio?" sofia knows this is weird, but after going through a difficult time together, maybe eva will start opening her heart to other men, including arsenio.
"well. i'm grateful that he wants to help me to the point of wanting to recognize skylar as his son if dominic still refuses to help me, but i can't see him as more than a close friend," eva admitted with a small smile, "cindy was there for her right then and there. i don't want any other problems in my life."
"i see ..." sofia was amazed by eva's maturity in addition to the fight before giving birth, as well as arsenio's way of dealing with the problems between eva and dominic.
maybe this is one of the reasons why they can't stand each other.
but ...
this doesn't solve the problem.
sofia is still confused about her feelings.
'dominic treated eva badly, but she changed in the end, a little bit.'
sofia believes everyone can change, including dominic.
but ...
sofia was amazed by arsenio's struggle, "arsenio and cindy really helped you, huh?"
"yes." eva replied softly, "my dad kicked me out after finding out i was pregnant. arsenio offered me a temporary stay at cindy's apartment while i persuaded dominic about my pregnancy. he helped pay for my apartment and necessities by winning a wild race."
"illegal street racing!?" so all this time, sofia thought that arsenio was taking part in wild racing as a hobby, is there another reason? paying for the apartment, "he never told me." he wouldn't have scolded her if she had been honest.
arsenio just smiled or made jokes every time he heard his advice about his bad habits.
"everything has to do with dominic. how can arsenio be honest with you?"
sofia furrowed her brows.
right.
dominic.
"eva?" suddenly heard cindy's voice.
"yes. cindy?"
"you have a guest far away, eva," cindy said, "and the guest is arguing with arsenio."
just hearing the word 'argue' already made sofia sure who the guest who came was, "dominic!?"
