Sofia was really sleepy.
what happened?
sofia must stay awake. opportunity will not come twice.

sofia reminded herself with her eyes closed.
'wake up!'
sofia slapped her own cheek to freshen her eyes.
dominic chuckled at his silly behavior, "what are you doing? just sleep when you're tired. you're sick too, rest so your body can fight the virus."
sofia knows that, but her chances...
'huh?'
sofia realized dominic turned the car they were in the other way from the police who were checking.
"those cops are just going to trouble me," said dominic.
"but that's the quickest way, isn't it?" sofia asked desperately feeling her chance slowly disappearing.
dominic just carved a wide grin at the corner of his lips.
sofia looked down in resignation, tired, and sleepy. they were already far from the cops so the opportunity was lost again.
'i am very tired. a little rest is fine.'
sofia closed her eyes tightly, her body took a position against the windshield, which is what she usually does.
"what the—!"
"ah!" sofia screamed suddenly the car braked suddenly until it almost hit the dashboard on her forehead, "ow, what are you doing here?"
"the car in front of us suddenly stopped, i had to do that too," dominic complained, then got out of his car to swear at the man.
sofia watched from inside, she saw dominic's face turned pale.
"you!?"
sofia could hear her squealing as her hands went up.
'what happened?'
sofia was curious about what happened, but couldn't do anything because the car was locked, "eh?" she hears a knock on her side, she turns to see a young man with amber eyes. he recognized the handsome man, "adrian!?"
"hello~ you have a ride waiting for you, mrs. grace~" adrian said cheerfully while waving his hand.
sofia didn't think adrian was still in las vegas even though arkyn was already in new york. maybe there are other things to do.
however he was relieved to see adrian's face.

adrian took sofia to the nearest hospital to be checked because her fever had not gone down.
the doctor asked him to rest until tomorrow to see his progress.
sofia's body still felt heavy, but she was relieved not to be in dominic's cage anymore.
dominic...
"adrien?" sofia called softly, "what about dominic's fate?"
"he's being held temporarily until you testify to what happened to you two," adrian replied, "seriously. i don't understand why someone would want to do something extreme just because of one person when there are plenty of fish out there."
"yeah..." sofia didn't understand either.
"anyway, i almost thought i would lose you because i was quite far away, luckily he changed the route which actually came closer to my position. i was just waiting," adrian explained ending with a small laugh.
"thank you, adrian." sofia felt that it was not enough just to say it once.
"tell that to arsenio and arlyne," adrian said softly, "they were the ones who made this plan after finding out the location of dominic's cell phone."
"arsenic?" even arlyne too?
"yeah, all of these ideas came from arsenio, but arlyne executed them well," adrian explained in more detail, "your husband will be here in a minute."
"soon!?"
adrian nodded innocently, "well, he can't just sit still. that's why he's here. isn't that sweet~?" he teased, "i know you two will be inseparable for the next few weeks, newlyweds~"
"adrien!" this is not the time to talk about her s*x life. he lay weak should be comforted not humiliated like this.
'adrian is almost the same as arsenio, both like to joke at the wrong time.'
sofia didn't have time to say a knock on the door.
adrian gave him a mischievous look, "it seems the prince has come. i as a supporting role it's time to get out of the way. good luck, princess."
sofia just gave him a death glare.
adrian opened the door, he guessed right outside was arsenio, "hey, buddy. your queen is waiting for you~"
"really? is he okay?" arsenio asked between short breaths. he ran from the parking downstairs to here using the emergency stairs because the elevator was full, and he couldn't wait long before he saw sofia.
"yeah. my job is done, you two can chat as much as you want," adrian said, then left.
sofia feels ashamed of herself she prefers to stare blankly at the tree outside the window.
"sofia. thank god, you're fine."
sophia nodded weakly.
"he didn't hurt you or anything, did he?" arsenio asked anxiously.
sofia shook her head weakly.
"sofia? are you tired? get some rest, i'll be here until you wake up." arsenio doesn't want to force him to talk if he's still not feeling well.
sofia could have agreed to avoid him, but her caring to go to that extent kept her from acting like a coward, "i thank you."
"no problem," arsenio responded quickly, "i just gathered clues and managed to stop dominic's plan, who knows what it is." he doesn't know the motive because he hasn't met dominic.
"you don't have to know. it's personal between me and him."
"oh? i see." arsenio is sure when the time comes, he will tell him the truth, and that time is not today.
sofia gritted her teeth, "stop saying that."
"say what?" arsenio asked innocently.
"saying according to my will," sofia honestly disgusted to hear it, "aren't you tired? i've only disappointed you all this time. my life is a mess. i'm the last woman you should choose, arsenio."
sometimes he wonders where his patience came from being able to hold his feelings for that long, even now patiently waiting for him.
"was my words at eva's house not clear?" arsenio returned the question to him.
sofia understood, but at that time she turned him down. her feelings for him should fade.
"i can't stop until you ask me to stop while looking straight at me," arsenio said.
"you want a lot." sofia complained a little.

sofia's body improved the next day, she was allowed to go home by the doctor.
sofia stretched her sore muscles since yesterday just lying on the bed, but was interrupted by the vibrating of her cell phone.

sofia just rolled her eyes.
arsenio chuckled, "since we're here, how about taking a walk to entertain yourself? you didn't have time before, did you?"

there are many restaurants that sophia wants to try, but she has just recovered from a fever, her appetite is not as big as when she was healthy.
