He had a way of making her laugh and feel at ease. They spent their days exploring the city, trying new restaurants, and going for long walks on the beach. He noticed how Helen would blush and giggle whenever Philip was around. He also noticed how Philip would look at her with admiration in his eyes. Fred didn't want to jump to conclusions, but he couldn't shake off the feeling that something was going on between his wife and nephew. One evening, Fred came home early from work and found Helen and Philip sitting on the couch, laughing and talking like they had known each other for years. Fred's gut feeling was confirmed when he saw Philip's hand casually resting on Helen's leg. He felt a surge of anger and jealousy, but he tried to remain composed. As soon as Philip saw Fred, he removed his hand and stood up, greeting him with a warm smile. 'Uncle Fred, I hope you don't mind me spending so much time with Helen. She's a wonderful person. I enjoy her company a lot,' he said. Fred didn't respond. He couldn't find the words to express his anger and hurt. He excused himself and went to his room, leaving Helen and Philip to sort things out. Helen knew she had to talk to Fred and explain her feelings for Philip. She had never meant for things to go this far, but she couldn't deny her attraction to Philip. She waited for Fred to calm down and went to talk to him. 'Fred, I know you must be confused and upset. I need to tell you that I have feelings for Philip. I know it's wrong and I never meant for it to happen. But I can't help the way I feel,' she said, tears falling down her cheeks.
