CHAPTER TWENTYTAYLOR DAY TEN Taylor slowly blinked awake. There was something covering her nose and mouth. She tried to push it off, but was gently stopped by a huge hand and a rumbling voice. “No, keep it on, Baby.” She slid her eyes to the left. Marcus. He smiled at her. “Hi, Baby. You’re safe now, you can relax.” Her throat burned, and her head was pounding. The last thing she remembered was the fire, and then falling. “What happened? How did you find me?” She croaked. “We got called out to the fire. When we arrived at the base camp, we saw your car. Then Dillon and I tracked you. We found you unconscious. You took a hell of a fall.” “How long was I out?” “Nearly 24 hours. The fire was yesterday.” “Oh. God, my throat hurts.” Marcus got her a glass of water with plenty of ice.
